Now you're saying... Wait... They always make it look easier than it really is. At least that's what I was thinking. Then I actually took the plunge, had it delivered overnight with Amazon Prime while I was in the middle of my vacation... And it turns out it's JUST as easy. I can't believe it actually works the way that video shows. Crazy.
I had it on the beach yesterday and the wind was really blowing like crazy. The four sand stakes held up great. The tent did not attempt to lift or fly in the gusty wind. And I didn't even have to fill the sand bags. The other nice thing is that the pop-up poles flex and bend in the breeze, which certainly will help with the tent's long term durability.
The tent is pretty spacious inside. It can easily fit 3 kids (ages 4 - 15), or two adults. And it gives tremendous protection from the sun.
The other thing that I thought was really nice is that the case it comes with has plenty of give and is not too tight. I know I've fought with a bunch of beach umbrellas over the years, trying to cram the puffy colored cloth of the umbrella down the narrow neck of a bag that is three sizes too small. What a pain in the *(). With this tent, there is a quite a bit of "puff" from the material, after the tent is folded, but it easily slides into the draw-string bag.
That's my two cents.
Bottom line: Would I recommend this to friends: in a heart beat.
Positives: Compact storage, spacicous when set up, durabile and flexible in the wind, and stays anchored.
Negatives: The Genji Sports website sucks and needs to be overhauled to better highlight their products.
