I bought one and now have the second Kneed-It. I have several different type of arthritis; don't really know which one(s) are working on my knees but the pressure applied by the braces gives me less pain and more mobility. Couldn't ask for more. I didn't get the magnet version because I'm not an adherent of that protocol but certainly the mechanics of the braces would work just as well with them and who am I to say the magnets wouldn't work too?!
The braces are nicely adjustable and it's very good to be able to adjust while wearing them as my knee(s) swell or need a different level of compression.
I don't know how well the elasticity will hold up - or the hook and loop for that matter. But I'd guess the strap is replaceable with a bit of ingenuity should it come to that. The padding is very helpful both for comfort against the strap and as a counter pressure to the front bar. Again, one should be able to make a new one of those too. It's the front v-bar that's the important piece and it's well made and durable. Comfortable too.
I guess I look a little like a penguin wearing both; even if they don't show, my knees are somewhat separated by the braces. I don't mind.
I strongly recommend this product for the gimpy knee crowd.
