Sports reviews of Polar Insulated Water BottleCustomer Review: Works great! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I felt compelled to write a review after reading some of the not-so-good reviews here.
First off, this is an insulated water bottle NOT a thermos! If you need your water to stay ice cold for 4 hours get a thermos. I've been using the same one for over 2 years primarily for cycling---it fits just fine in the standard water bottle cage contrary to another review I read. Yesterday we cycled 70 miles in 95 degree weather. Although not ice cold, my water was definitely cool & refreshing compared to my husband's uninsulated water. One thing I like to do is freeze our full water bottles the night before. His water was thawed and warm within an hour...mine still had a little ice in it after 2 hours in hot weather. I have never had any problems with plastic taste. This product does exactly what it's supposed to do!

Many people think "what's the point of reviewing water bottles?" I mean, they're WATER BOTTLES! Well, with summer underway, it's important you make the right choices when it comes to understanding and purchasing water bottles. Not all bottles are the same. Some hold more water, some hold less. Some come in pretty colors. You can even buy the expensive ones with the wiggly silly straws.
Ok, it's summer. You want to go for long walks. What's the most important thing you can take with you? Poison Ivy cream. Ok, what else? Water. You need plenty of water to keep yourself cool and refreshed. Without it, you wouldn't have a very nice walk. You might not make it.
A water bottle with pretty colors is nice (choose blue!) and the bottles you see here are fantastic and I highly recommend them.
Customer Review: Great insulated bottle Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I've been using the 24oz. bottle at the gym for the last six months. It is the perfect size for a 60 minute spin class or an hour on the eliptical. I usually load it with a scoop of Accelerade drink mix, ice cubes from my ice maker and then fill it up with water. The ice melts at a much slower rate because of the insulation and have a cold drink throughout class. I also like the fact the material is BPA free, so one less thing to worry about. The little carry ring that fits between the cap and the body is real handy if your hands are full with other gym stuff. I tried using this the 24oz on my Specialized Tarmac bike but it is slightly too big for my frame (52cm). The 20oz might work better, but I usually drink quite a bit while riding, so sticking to non-insulated bottles for biking.
Customer Review: I take these everywhere! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I love the polar bottle! Its now a habit for me to fill one up with ice water every morning and carry it with me all day. The loop on top is very convenient for attaching it to my keys or just grabbing it with one finger. I had to buy more bottles because my grown daughter keeps "borrowing" them and forgetting to bring them back. My husband scoffed at them until I sent one with him to the National Scout Jamboree in Virginia this summer. It was very hot there and he always had cold water. He is now hooked also. I like the fact that I am reusing as opposed to recycling. These bottles don't leach chemicals after reuse and I prefer my filtered water to bottled water anyway!

Like everyone else on here,I am very pleased with these bottles.I carry two for the long rides and one for the shorter ones.I buy the propel and g2 powder packs and keep them in my under seat storage. They do keep your drinks cold for a lot longer then regular bottles and my only complaint is that they did not make the inside of the bottle smooth.Instead,it has small dimples that will get a little moldy over time. The quick fix is to buy a baby bottle brush since the glass sponges on a stick will not get it clean.I carry mine with me at work and around the house and have found that the black plastic ring around the top makes it very easy to hang on to.Overall great product.
