Ok so far I love this bottle. I give it 5 stars because it only claims to keep liquid colder longer than most bottles and so far it has (at least in my case). Unfortunately I've learned the hard way that if a product does not state what it can't do, then there is a chance it might do it. For example, this product does not say anywhere that it will not have an after taste, which means I cant be too upset if I buy it and it turns out that it does in fact have an after taste.
How I dealt with bad bottle flavored water:
Personally in my case, I let my bottle sit with soapy water for 2 days after I read reviews that the water might taste horrible even after 1 wash. Then my water started to taste a bit like soap. So I tried using something I would not mind tasting with my water such as lemonade and left it in my bottle for a day and now the flavor of my water is not so bad.
As for leaking, I have not had this problem. I use this bottle in my field biology class. The bottle stays in my backpack and my backpack does get knocked around quite a bit.

I had tried these when the first came out years ago, and the problem THEN was that you had to have a grip like IronMan in order to squeeze them. That problem has been solved, and now they are as easy to drink from as any bottle out there.
No, they won't keep your water cold for 10 hours in the heat of the day like a vacuum bottle will, but that's not what they are designed for. What they do is give you some extra time to enjoy a cool drink on a hot day. I like to fill them about 1/2 full of water, freeze them, and then top them off. If I don't have time, fill one with ice cubes and water, fill the other 1/2 way with ice, top them off with water and I'm good to go.
The LARGE size may or may not fit on the seat tube it's pretty tall. (I ride recumbent bikes, so it's not really and issue on any of mine). The top works easy, has a good flow, and a nice positive seal. All in all, they hold my drink, keep it from getting too warm too quickly, let me drink with ease and don't look bad doing it. Can't ask for much more than that.

I bought 4 of the 24 oz. water bottles for each member of my family to use at sports activites and to take to the beach.
These are VERY well made, and do *not* leak even if turned upside down and the price is really unbeleviable for this type of quality.
I love the fact that the insulation is actually between the walls of the bottle itself, so there's no special cleaning needed, other than tossing it in the sink and washing.
The variety of colors and size is really nice too. They are very well made and you can tell the first time you pop the top that they're very good quality, not like the $2.00 ones you can buy at most mass merchandisers. We've bought a few of the cheapie ones over the years and I would much rather pay a few dollars more and have a nice quality water bottle that you can continue to use for more than a few months.
We love these bottles and recommend them to anyone who's looking for a nicely made, high end quality bottle!!!

I bought my Polar Bottle 9 months ago after being frustrated with tops that are hard to open and sweating on the outsides of my water bottles. I use my bottle daily to measure the amount of water I am drinking. This is the best bottle I've found for daily use. It keeps my beverages cold- up to two hours with filling it a quarter of the way with ice cubes. I find it very easy to fill from our water/ice maker on the front of the fridge. I love the loop on it, I use it to attach to a caribiner clip on my purse. It is not 100% spill proof, but is good enough if you don't want to just toss it in your bag. The size is great, it fits in my car cup holder (though does not fit in my husbands whose car can only hold a 12 oz can) and I do not feel like I'm running for a new glass of water all day. I love the sport top because I can share my water with my two year old in the car without worrying about her making a mess. All in all I highly recommend this as a daily water bottle!Customer Review: Works Great!

I had a typical plastic water bottle that I would freeze my Gatorade solid in over night. My riding companion brought his Polar bottle over, put a few ice cubes in and filled his bottle with water. On a hot (90+ degree day) we rode about 45 minutes and, not only was my frozen Gatorade melted, but it was luke warm as well. On the other hand, my friends water in his Polar was cold and still had the ice cubes. Forty five minutes later, my drink was hot and my friends was still cold still had some of ice remaining. After that trip I and 3 others of our group have purchased Polar 24 ounce bottles and no one complains. I've learned to fill them about 3/4 full, freeze them on a 45 degree angle then, just before riding, fill the bottle with your remaining beverage. This has beeen the only way to initially have enough melted liquid to drink with a Polar bottle. They're great!
