Wife is 5'3" and me being 6'1" it's a must have when changing "drivers".
If you are the only one using the playseat it would be useless.

The biggest reason why this is getting 3 stars instead of 5 is the instructions. They absolutely suck. They are not clear what-so-ever. And as a matter of fact, the slider is still on the wrong way, but that's how it's staying because it at least works (this is after 3 times of trying to put them on right).
Other than that, this is a must have if you have friends who are coming to play and they are all a different size. This make the chair more enjoyable for everyone. If you don't have or think you don't need it, think again and just get it, you won't regret it (except for putting it together and on the chair).

The product is fine in construction, but it lacks any assembly instructions. It was an annoying Christmas evening trying to set this up. We finally had to take it apart a couple of times to get the screws and bolts going the right direction, even going online to find instructions on the Playseats website.
Perhaps it was the the rush of an early and busy morning, but this product is pretty simple to set up. Gives good options for the younger and shorter kids.

When I got the Playseat I ordered all the accessory that appeared to make sense. Being able to slide the seat back and forth sounds like a cool thing.
Unfortunately the quality is pretty low. One side works, the other side is locked and only glides when using excessive force. My kids can't use it without me and even I have trouble getting it to work.
It also comes without instructions whatsoever. It's not a huge deal, I figured it out in 2 minutes but many will have trouble. The actual installation is not as easy at it seems, kind of tricky to get the screws in place.
But most of all it is not a necessary thing to have. The Playseat is designed to be very easily adjustable so the sliding seat doesn't really add anything. In reality you will have to adjust the pedals and wheel base anyways to make it work for a child.
Maybe I have a bad unit, but it's too much hassle for me to unmount it and pay for the shipping back to get a replacement which will cause even more time to get it in again. Either way, you really don't need it, it works just fine without it and even my 7 year old can use the seat without this slider.
