Pros:
- Does exactly what it claims- makes it easy to slide chair forwards and back to allow for friends/guests to use the seat. To use it, you sit on the seat, pull up on the handle and slide the seat forward and back.
Cons:
- No instructions apart from the white stickers attached to the unit. So it is a bit of a brain teaser to assemble.
A previous reviewer provided an excellent set of detailed instructions for the assembly. It was a bit difficult to visualize the overall process, so I am supplementing that with the following less detailed overview of the main steps. Also I uploaded some pictures I took of the process of assembly as well as an assembly diagram- Hope this helps.
Overall steps then are:
1. Remove seat from metal base of Playseat.
2. Attach slider bars to bottom of seat. The labeled side should face the bottom of the seat and the arrow on the label should point toward the front of the seat.
3. Attach the handle bar. This takes some muscle doing. When attaching the handle bar, make sure it is angled downward relative to the seat, rather than upward or else you won't have enough clearance to pull up on the handle when you are finally sitting on it. See diagram.
4. Attach seat to the metal base of the playseat. This is trickiest and it will be easier if you had an extra hand to depress the handle bar when you are putting in the screws because you are going to need to slide the bars in and out to insert the screws. This is where you should read the former reviewers instructions for additional details. This is probably the least intuitive part of the assembly.
Additional tips: ignore the circular holes on the slider. You will only use the elongated holes.

Ok so my friend came over to try out my simulator and I had mess up my adjustments on the steering, and pedals to get him to fit, and what's worse his feet still banged on the steering column. So after ordering this and installing it I can now move the seat slightly back enough to get more clearance on the steering column pedal box assembly, plus he can now just sit down and not mess up my settings. Not as stable as a cars rails as you have to make sure you grab the rail in the center and move back slowly. If you do adjust at an angle the seat will be at an angle.... so beware, plus there are no directions so follow what the other reviewers said of the stickers up, handle pointed down when you do the install. Plus you will have to have the seat back part way to put the last two bolts in.. I found this easier on it's side, but probably upside down would have been easier, if I wasn't so lazy as to take off my steering wheel.
Once again this really is a requirement for anyone over 5'7" to be able to use the brake and clutch without getting your foot stuck between the steering column and the pedals.
only gave it a 4 out of 5 because because of the slight install difficulty (oh yeah watch out there is grease on the bearing so put some towels down to protect your carpet.) and because of accidental angle you can get into if you don't go smoothly centered back.

I bought this so my nieces, nephew, and friends can use the Playseat without having to constantly adjust everything when someone of a different height wants to try it out. It slides easily for quick changes. Also makes it easier for me to get in and out of it. Thankfully the previous reviews provided excellent instructions for installation as this comes with none. I also added some lock washers as others have suggested. Hopefully this will eliminate the need for tightening later on. Beware of getting greasy when you have to attach the sliders to the frame.Customer Review: Hard to install but good product

As other buyer wrote, installing this is such a puzzle. But once it is installed, very much useful. I play GT5 with my kids and it requires seat adjustment so frequently then. If you use the PlaySeat with several people, it is worthy. I recommend.Customer Review: Good prodcut, missing instructions

This is what you need if you have to adjust your seat ofr different players or visitors. But, at least mine came without any manual or instruction, it was a pain to figure it out.
