Plano makes these in two sizes. I originally located them at Menard's. As a home handyman and DIY junkie, I was frustrated running back and forth to the shop, looking through bags, pull-out drawers and recycled containers. I purchased three small and one large box to store all my small items and now carry the whole container to the job site, eliminating running up and down stairs or ladders to search for the items I need. The uses I found were, by tackle box:
1) Electrical parts - Connectors (110V, telephone, video, audio), electrical box and plate screws, small bulbs, etc. The top stores my voltmeter, BNC tools, etc.
2) Small tools - Allen wrenches, mini and micro screwdrivers, small wrenches, etc. Top contains larger tool items.
3) Large one is for machine screws, picture hangers, brads, etc.
The large box holds a common size container that I use for all my screws and nails so I can select a special box for certain jobs. I purchased a second large one for the garage and store feeler gauges, tire gauges, Allen's, etc.
This was one of the best time savers I have come up with.
OH YEAH - Fishing!
Just got back from Canada. I used a large one for tackle storage and transport. I carry this one along on the trip but use a soft one on the boat each day. The soft bag carries five of the boxes vertically and has five pouches on the outside which I find handier for pliers, knives, flashlight, etc. When we decide what we are going for each morning, I'll pop out the tackle from the Plano and put the container in the soft bag. Very handy.
Oh, the box didn't do it but the largest fish? 38" Northern and a 28" and 32" Walleye. I am "hooked." ;)
