The Planet Bike Blinky "3" 3-Led Rear Bicycle Light provides 300 percent brighter eXtreme LEDs to ensure that you will be seen by cars coming up from behind for as far as one mile away. I got this blinker as I often bike late at night and want to be safe (and visible) on the road. I have been using it for more than a month now and am happy with the product so far. Like other reviewers, I don't like that its battery case is inside the red cover and am apprehensive that I may end up breaking it sometime...
Also, I hope that the light holder does not give way after extended use.

Bought this to feel safer while riding around the neighborhood in the dark on summer nights with my kids. Works well. Has 2 modes - blinking or steady light. Light is bright and visible quite far away, far enough for cars to be able to see it and notice that there are riders on the street. Batteries are easy to install. Unit is easy to install onto the bicycle seat post. Price is quite reasonable.Customer Review: Just about perfect!

I am very impressed!
Very bright, visible from blocks away.
I am yet to change batteries in both lights I purchased. Using them in blinking mode, it seems they are not at all power-hungry.
I also got PLANET BIKE 3-led bike headlight, and random people on the street are constantly asking me where I got my lights -- they are as impressed as I am! :)

This is the best rear bicycle light under $10. The battery life lasts forever. It also uses AAA batteries and not some weird size battery that costs 5 bucks at Walgreens. It's waterproof and has 3 mounting options; clip, seat post, or the rear strut. It's bright, and you'll be seen from blocks away. Hands down you wouldn't need to pay more for a rear light. This is an affordable, simple, yet effective solution to not getting run over while cycling.
I ride in the city and suburbs, commuting and for pleasure. I have other higher end tailightsthat work fine, but wanted an extra to carry as a backup. This product works just fine. Not sure I would pay the extra money in the future for higher end flashers.
