This is a great pump that has worked well on both road bike tires (presta valves) and mountain bike tires (schrader valves). I've used it for over a year now. It is well-designed, all around. The handle ("love handle") is ergonomically shaped and comfortable to grasp while pumping. The feet at the base can serve as pedals for you to step on while pumping hard and trying to prevent it from moving. The air pressure gauge has a little movable red display needle so you can set it and determine when you have pumped enough air in. The nozzle has two separate holes (one for presta valves and one for schrader valves) so you don't have to fumble with attachment adapter pieces or worry about losing them.
Best of all, it works. I have no problems pumping my mountain bike up to the recommended ~50 psi and my road bikes up to the recommended ~120 psi. (You do have to push harder as the psi gets higher, but that's expected.) And I don't experience much air loss during the pumping as I have with other pump models.
Before I bought this model, I originally bought a Schwinn pump from Walmart (found here: http://www.amazon.com/Schwinn-Steel-Floor-Pump-Gauge/dp/B0018CX1EG/), and the Schwinn one did not work well at all for me, so I returned it and then researched online for something better. I eventually bought this model based on the numerous positive Amazon reviews (of which I've come back to add to) and on the low price. I had never even heard of the Planet Bike brand before so I was a little skeptical. But after a year of using this pump successfully on all 4 of my bikes, I'm sold. I even bought a Planet Bike brand bike computer recently, which I'm also happy with. It is a quality brand.
