I was surprised by the size of this megaphone, its quite large and it was really useful. I am a musician and i used it on stage during a performance, and it worked flawlessly. i like that i can use a handheld microphone (similar to what truckers use) that plugs into the megaphone - BUT I can also remove that and just speak directly into the microphone at the back of the megaphone and theres no loss of quality. it also has a siren on it that sounds like a police siren, which is FUN! go nuts! excellent purchase. it takes 6 D-batteries.
