There are many cheaper versions of this which are fine if you're looking for something that you can feel free to allow to get destroyed in the course of training. But a really superior set of these, something tough, comfortable, durable and easy to wear, wouldn't this be better? I tried the other kind that are in so much abundance, and although I like those, I love this one! the lower arm covers use elastic at the wrist to cup your hands, helping them conceal your hands. there are more hidden pockets (which I'm not going to say where they are), and the material is stronger, just as breathable, and better designed. instead of just one line of stitching to hold the leg ties together, for example, this one has stitching across the whole front to ensure that they aren't ripped off so easily. there are a lot of things in these that are double stitched as well.
This delivers a much more high quality product, plain and simple. I won't go back to the old ones. The ones in such abundance on the internet and elsewhere before these came along are decent, but pale in comparison to these niniku yoroi. Although a bit more expensive, once you get one you'll see where the extra money went. I would recomend for adults buying these to get size 4 or 5, those provide plenty of room to move in. these and a good set of tabi and whatever tools/weapons you're working with are pretty much all you'd need. Not sure about the colors; they have the traditional black, not sure what else they would have yet. still waiting for them to come out with light brown or grey (in which case I'd probably get a couple of those too!- hint hint, nudge nudge,) At any rate, HIGHLY recomended, a great find.
I plan on getting these when my old ones gradually die from use; these are excellent uniforms for those practicing the style, again, you'll see where the investment of extra dollars went when you put it on. it's worth it! Piranha Gear Ninja Uniform - Black
Description of Piranha Gear Ninja Uniform - Black
This is a traditional Ninjitsu uniform known as a Shinobi Shozoku. Made of 100% cotton, the jacket has the "secret" inner pocket on top of the left shoulder and a front pocket on the right (inside) waist of the jacket.
Our uniform "set" includes the jacket, pants, arm pieces, an inner mask, and an outer hood with a tie. The jacket sleeves have an elastic hem (a direct result of great customer feedback). The pants have a traditional drawstring waist, two sets of ties around the calf AND two sets of velcro tabs (again - thanks for the feedback making the uniform better). Most of these features are unique to our uniforms.
Please note: this is a "real" Ninjitsu uniform, not intended to be a costume. If that is what you're looking for, there are a number of other vendors on Amazon that provide them (for less money). The vast majority of our uniforms go to people that practice the art of Ninjitsu. However, we understand many people are interested in using a more authentic uniform (in which case, the inside jacket pocket works perfect for your keys or wallet).
A belt is not included but may be purchased separately. If you're purchasing this as a costume, you will almost certainly want a belt too (and shipping is cheaper if you buy them together).
Unfortunately, we cannot offer cash refunds on purchases of these uniforms made during the month of October. However, we are happy to exchange for a different size or replace it if the uniform has a defect.
And yes, we are aware that other vendors claim to sell our uniforms - even using the same photo. We are the only online source of Piranha Gear uniforms.
