I have 3 kids, the youngest is 23 months old and a daredevil in the water. I have owned at least a dozen "baby" swim/life vest devices from jackets, to suits with built in floats, floating devices, etc - NONE that were both safe and that my kids enjoyed - we were lucky to get a few minutes out of them. We were at Legoland water park this week and they provide these FuzionX Baby Safe life jackets for kids to use free while in the park. I started him off in the small regular life vest because he is almost 2, but he kept flipping on his stomach and couldn't get his balance in the shallow water, it was less safe than having him wear nothing. So we tried the "baby" one since it was no cost to try it and I was amazed at how well this worked, my son loved being in it and it was probably the safest of any device we have used. Granted, you always need to be in arms reach of little ones in the water, but he loved the freedom of being able to "swim" by himself and it would have been really hard for him, if not impossible to be face down with this one. I am buying one now even though we will not get to use it very long due to his age, but it will still be well worth the few months we get out of it this spring/summer.
