I had been a Streamlight user for many years. The Stinger and the Ultra Stinger, being two of the greats. I moved into the LED with the Stinger LED. Huge disappointment. Size, weight, bad switches that went on when the light was bumped and could only be turned off by unscrewing the end and breaking the battery connection as well as a useless strobe which frequently came on at the wrong time. Oh yes, and the rubber switch cover which comes out and cannot be put back in. Although the 7060 is nearly the same size as the Stinger LED, there is really no comparison. The grip, the switches, the weight and the beam, in my opinion, far exceeds the Stinger. Then I tried the Super Tac by Streamlight. Neat little light. I just don't know for what... During a building search, I like to see very clearly what is around me. And in a big, dark, empty, abandoned building, I like to reach way into the darkness. The 7060 really does the job so well. I don't have beam shots and all that. I can only give my experience. And in my experience, there is nothing worse that a half a@#$* light when you need one. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, great light.
Description of Pelican LED Tactical Flashlight
The Pelican 7060 LED light employs new dual switch technology that allows the light to be activated by either a body-mounted patrol switch or a tail-mounted tactical switch. The dual switches, which include a momentary mode, allows the user to grip the light in several positions and still control activation. The light incorporates rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries for maximum brightness and are also light weight compared to standard batteries.Flashlights
