Sports reviews of Park Tool HBH-2 Handle Bar HolderCustomer Review: Handy to have Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Okay so there may be cheaper ways to keep a handle bar from moving, but this doesn't really cost THAT much, and it's easy to fit onto the bike. Does it's job. Nothing to complain about.
Customer Review: Great Product! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
It does exactly what it was designed to do. It holds the handlebar / Front fork and wheel right steay when you have your bike up on a maintenance stand.
Customer Review: Unbelievably handy... Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Unbelievably handy for such a seemingly no-brainer invention. Saves so much frustration when your bike is on a stand. Simple, easy, light.
Customer Review: handy tool for regular handlebars Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
I tried the coat hanger first and it works but not as well. So I sprung for this gadget and I am glad I did. I just got done servicing the kids bikes for the winter and this bit of wire helped keep the front wheel from swinging around and whacking me. I used Velcro strap just to hold the bracket in place, it has a bit of elastic on it, so no problem with cables etc, or various frame sizes. I can see though that it's bent to fit standard mt bikes and road bikes and probably not super aero triathlon handlebars.
Pro:
Does what it is designed to do very well.
Con:
It is just a bit of heavy duty vinyl coated wire with a piece of elastic and Velcro. You could make one, if you are good at these sort of things.
Customer Review: Another necessary, yet overpriced tool from Park Sport shop rating: 4 Stars
These types of handlebar holders are essential when working on anything related to the front of the bike. But just like the tool stand, the price is a little high for what you get. Now some may ask me, "Why would you complain about something that costs less that $20?" Well my only complaint is that it ought to be either included with the stand, or cost more like $10. Rubber coated mild steel is CHEAP.
In the end, though, I would buy it again. Just might complain a little bit too!!
