Paradigm's ActivCycle allows you to exercise your legs while sitting at a computer, watching TV, or just relaxing in a chair reading. The foot pedals have an adjustable foot strap and are easy on and off. A non skid floor or desk mat is included. The Activ Cycle is motor driven, with adjustable speed and an overload protection feature. The Activ Cycle can also be used without the motor for greater resistance. It comes with a multi functioning LCD display that reads out distance, time, calories and speed. The cycle also has built in carry handles for easy relocation. Space for an exercise cycle attracted me to this product. As far as I am concerned, it does everything that I need without comsuming the space the a full size cycle would require.
It is light weight, easy to transport, comes with a pad to reduce sliding, gives statistical information that is helpful.
I live on the upper edge of NY State, near the Canadian border, where extreme weather in the winter precludes outdoor exercise. This piece of equipment will be put to good use, and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

The cycle came very quickly. I just got it tonight. I was able to use the cycle right out of the box. It is extremely quiet. So far, I love it. I will update my review after a month.
Update 2/7/11- I still really like this unit. It would be nice if the cord that holds the controls was a little bit longer. I just drop the cord to the floor while using the unit. I like that it is motorized as I do not have to think about pedaling. I would definitely recommend this mini cycle.

I have moderate arthritis in my knees and was told by my doctor to ride a bike instead of walking for exercise. I work so don't have the time during the day to ride a bike. This unit is sturdy and works great from a straight back chair. I use it on carpeted floors and it does not slide while in use. It's also helped me regain my confidence to ride a bike without losing my balance or strength. I can use it while watching TV too. This was purchased several weeks after my husband had total knee replacement. He had major complications after the surgery and rehabilitation was severely limited. After several weeks of use, several times a day, his range of motion is greatly improved. The physical therapist, my husband and I are all very pleased..He needs to have total replacement of the other knee and we know it will help immensely in the rehabilitation process.Customer Review: very pleased.

I'm very pleased with the activcycle. I use the cycle four to five times a day and its been four weeks since I received the cycle. Having MS with drop leg, this cycle has been very helpful in using my left leg again. I have even told my doctor about it.. and why was I never told about this type of product...instead of taking pills for my leg problem....Amazing what you learn on your own...Try it its great.
