Sports reviews of Paradigm 100 Inversion Table SystemCustomer Review: Just what I needed Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
After reading tons of reviews I settled on this table, and couldn't be happier. Besides the great price, I no longer have neck and back pain, and I've found it's even pretty relaxing to use!
The table is comfortable, easy to adjust, and the strap is really helpful for controlling the degree of inversion. I read a few reviews where people said the ankle bar was uncomfortable - I've found that as long as I'm not in bare feet it's fine. Either wear pants, or put a towel between your feet and the bar. If you have tight ankles it might feel a little weird at first, since you are stretching them quite a bit.... an added bonus I didn't expect.
PLEASE listen to the reviews on here that say you don't need to go upside down right away. I started at about 30 degrees for a week or so (once or twice a day for 10 minutes). It does take a little getting used to the blood rushing to your head, but if you start slow you will be fine when you go more inverted. Also, at first I really felt the stretch in my torso when I let my arms hang back over my head, and every time I go a little farther, I have to give it a couple days to "stretch out." Your body is tighter than you think it is, and going upside down right away will not help - only hurt!!
I have a lot of upper/mid-back pain, rather than low back, and this is the only thing I've found that helps. I haven't really had the "popping" experience that a lot of people mention, but every so often my neck pops if I turn my head. Regardless, I can definitely tell when I have gone a couple days without using it, as I feel "squashed." It really does stretch out your body, and you'd be amazed how different you feel after just two or three times.
I highly recommend this table, especially if you're a little skeptical. It's a good price, and works - and there aren't a lot of bells and whistles to figure out. Just get on, and there you go. It does take up a little bit of space, and the directions are pretty horrible (but that's how everything is nowadays), but with a little patience it's easy enough to put together.
