I've had both knee and shoulder surgery, and I've been to physical therapy several times. I was given instructions on several exercises and stretches that I should do at home, not only to strengthen my joints and muscles, but keep them from deteriorating as I age.
I wish I was the kind of person that was more disciplined and followed all these instructions rigorously, but I'm not. Except for this stretch-out strap. It's so effortless to use, and you can easily pack it in your purse or luggage if you are on the road. You can use it to stretch out anywhere - in front of the TV or even in bed.
This stretch out strap comes with a booklet that gives you helpful instructions, and I've found some new exercises/stretches that have really helped.
Highly recommended. It's so simple, but it's much better than using a strap or towel. It's easy to hold on to, and easy to secure your foot to the loops. You will really get a great stretch out of this.

After four knee surgeries, three doctors and two physical therapists, I was introduced to the Stretch Out strap. This strap is so multi-functional, it is like having a physical therapist with me at home. It allows me to grab my leg from any position to stretch both in flexion and extension. I highly recommend this product for anyone recovering from knee surgery. I would also recommend, however, that you consult a physical therapist to make sure of the proper exercises for your particular condition. I bought this because the physical therapy center that I go to has all of their patients use this for stretching exercises. I decided that if this is what the pros use, I would buy one for home use to do my stretching exercises.
I find this much more convenient to use than a towel, and also a lot more compact to bring with me to the office.
While I do only a limited number of stretching exercises, this comes with a booklet illustrating many more.
This is very durable and easy to use for people who need to stretch.

I have recently been given new stretching exercises as part of a physical therapy routine, and I was looking for a strap that would be similar to the one at the therapist. This strap appears identical to the one used by my therapist organization. It is sturdy, with the loops sewn in very well so one feels very confident applying any amount of force between any two loops during a stretch without any worry. This strap does what it was designed to do at a fair price. I first used this strap while doing some physical therapy. It made the stretching of my quads and ham strings so much better. I am 55 years old and pulling on my legs with this strap is so much easier to do. I can lie in front of the TV and do my stretches by myself. My legs would get so stiff that they would pull my back out but not any more.
