Customer Review: Inexpensive stainless steel bottle option

We had been looking for a less expensive stainless steel water bottle for our 3-year-old. I knew we didn't want plastic, but finding something under $20 was difficult. I found this online at Amazon.com and decided to try it out. Because it was just going to hold water, I didn't worry about it leaking too much.
This water bottle is a good choice for people who do not want to spend an arm and a leg finding a stainless steel water bottle. It does leak, yes, and the top cap is difficult to get on (and it usually pops back off, which contributes to the leakage) but for what we paid and for what it does, it's worth it. It's a good size for a small child and is light and easy to clean. The mouth of the bottle is large enough to fit a smaller brush in there, and with a good scrub with soapy water it usually gets clean.
If the top is on properly, the leaks can be cut down to almost nothing. However, it is hard to get the top on so that it stays, so we just make sure she has water in it or is holding it upright.
I would recommend this bottle to people with young children who need a good, inexpensive water bottle. It does its job and I feel much better knowing she isn't using a plastic bottle.

The size is ideal for daily use and is extremely portable. But the plastic lid was not as pictured and not the quality that the photo advertises. The plastic quality matters because cheap plastic breaks off and that is what the collar of the cap did after a few months of normal use. The manufacture would sell more if the lids were blue as shown and not black and if they were more rubberized than the current ones in use.Customer Review: New Wave Enviro SS water bottle

Nice bottle, however, since the bottle has no flex like a plastic bottle it's hard to get more than a tiny drink without letting air back into the bottle. Of course you can remove the "drinking" cap and just use it as a normal bottle. IF the cap had a vent/check valve arrangement if would be better.Customer Review: Leaky

Leaky when tipped over, but handy and I do like them (I bought 2 for my kids) they use them as night time water bottles.... and my son takes his to baseball games.
I don't really like the feel of the plastic lid - thats just personal, Its hard and - I am not sure it will last very long

I bought this for my son because of the low price. From day one it leaks out of the air hole on the top. I'm contacting the company as I doubt this is supposed to happen. Hope it is resolved.
