Customer Review: Great hydration belt; but watch sizing
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I have tried 4 hydration belts in the past month, and this is by far my favorite. The pros:

1) Two pockets allow you to bring everything - multiple gels, key, ID, phone, tissues, etc.
2) The bottles have great capacity - 40 oz of fluid total versus 32 oz with Fuel Belt.
3) No bouncing. The belts with bottles in the back bounce a lot, even the similar Fuel Belt bounces in comparison to this. The bottle holder is very secure and the bottles don't bounce/fall out as they do with other belts. The bottle holders are designed very well.
4) Secure velcro closure. I have tried another Nathan belt with a clip to close it, and the clip broke on the third run. This is a much improved closure. The velcro cannot break and can be tightened/loosened as needed.
5) Good, non-leaking caps and bottles. I had a hard time with Fuel Belt bottles leaking because of poorly fitting caps. These caps screw on easily and tightly. The valve spout doesn't leak. Easy to drink and run. And you do not end up covered in sticky electrolyte drinks or wasting precious fluids.

The only cons I can come up with are this:
1) Be careful with the sizing. I ordered a Medium because I wear belts on my hips. My hips are 35 inches, which falls into the sizing recommendations for a M. The M was too loose once I added the weight of the bottles. It seemed to fit fine empty, but needed to be tightened when I added 40 oz of fluid and weight to the belt. I need a Small, even though my measurements suggest the Medium sizing.
2) The taller bottles might hit some runners arms if worn around the waist. I am 5'7, wear it on the hips, and do not hit. But when I first tried it on, I was worried my arms would hit the bottle. Thankfully it doesn't - because it's really nice on long runs to have the extra 8 oz of fluid in the larger size bottles.

Customer Review: Great product! Comfortable and practical!

Great product - I highly recommend and would buy again!

I got my Nathan speed 4 belt about 6 weeks ago after reading numerous reviews of other belt brands and products (like a Camelbak), and am very satisfied with my belt! I've used it on runs from 5 miles to 18 miles and love it. Big selling point to me was the 10oz bottles, allowing me to carry 40oz rather than 32oz as other models with only 8oz bottles. Generous TWO pockets are also great. I easily carry chapstick and mp3 player in the smaller, and several packets of sport beans, keys, etc. in the larger. I wear it lower on my hips and keep it snug and it does not bounce around. Even fully loaded, I barely notice I'm wearing it.

The debate on what size to order is valid... I ordered a small, but because I wear it lower on my hips, I could've easily gotten a medium. The small still works just fine for me, though. After several sweaty runs in our southern humidity, I have not noticed any "stretching" of the belt, so buying too small and having it stretch does not seem to be a concern in my opinion.

I echo others who wear it rotated at 90 degrees (so the pockets are on the sides rather than front and back). To me, the belt is MUCH more comfortable worn sideways. The pockets are easier to reach than having one in back, and the bottles are out of the way of my arm swing. I can't imagine how anyone wears it with the bottles on the sides?

The ultimate winner is freezing your drinks... on those really hot days, those cold bottles feel great, and start to melt enough for a nice cold drink within a couple miles!

Customer Review: Great Belt!

I am extremely happy with this belt. I have worn it on an 8 mile run and and 12 mile run. The belt fits snuggly, but not too tight. It doesn't move at all and is very comfortable. I also did not have any problems with my arms hitting the bottles as some others have had. I also took advice others gave and tried to drink evenly from all four bottles. This seemed to work well. Also, I was in between a medium and small and wasn't sure what to get, so I ordered the small. I'm glad I did. It is definitely the right size. So, I would suggest ordering down a size if you are in the middle. The pockets are pretty nice, too. The smaller pocket is big enough for my i pod nano and you could also fit some flat items in it, like a credit card or id. In the back pocket, I was able to fit my blackberry 8330 and a snack, but it was pretty tight, but the 8330 is a really big phone. Overall, this is a very nice belt and I am happy with it.

Customer Review: Wish I had bought one of these years ago!!!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I used my fuel belt today, and ran 15.5 miles in the 75 degree sun without running out of water. It is so comfortable! Barely know that it is there. I bought the medium, and happy I did. I am a size 10-12 dress, and the medium fits perfect around my hips. The pockets are big enough to fit a cell phone, and a few morsels, and keys/money, or whatever small items you need. So nice not to have to carry water in my hand. I've needed one of these for years, and didn't even know it! Don't buy the cheap models, cuz the bottles are flat on one side, so they do not bounce. So worth the price. Would be awesome for all kinds of sports, not just running! Totally necessary for my marathon training.

Customer Review: Just what I needed
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Holds 40 ounces of water (or electrolyte) - good for hours of running in heat. Fits comfortably. The small pocket in front holds my key and a one-ounce squeeze bottle of sun/insect protection gel. The larger rear pocket holds my RAZR phone, a couple of band aids, spare phone battery, a small piece of moleskin, two packs of goo, and a small individual pack of antibiotic ointment. Add a GPS watch and an MP3 player on my wrists and I'm all set for a marathon or long trail run. This really is worth buying.
