Customer Review: my 2nd - are they lighter now?

I wanted another of these. I bought the clear from another site. They may be made from a different maker for all I know....
I got the see-thru-red this time from Amazon - and it's lighter in weight than the clear, but other than that, seems the same.
I've tried other set ups - but for me - I always come back to the canteen set up. I have my old military cover still - the one with the green fur on the inside that I was issued in the 80's. My canteen cup, stove, tin lid I made, aluminum foil windscreen, tin spoon, and purifying tabs all fit easily in the cover.
As others said - no plastic taste with these and you can see your water supply, no guessing - nice upgrades from the OD green plastic ones. True, it's just a canteen...but it IS better. Glad I got two now.
