My PT recommended the use of this device for treatment of plantar fasciitis. After just one set of stretches, I can feel a huge difference in my chronically-tight calves, and my arch pain is diminished. I can already see how regular use can help with my condition!
The device also comes with a book illustrating other exercises that can be done, including strengthening the Achilles tendons and stretching the hamstrings, both of which I really need.
The device itself is very sturdy and well-made, much sturdier than it appears in the photo. I was worried that it might not be able to accommodate my short little feet, but it was not a problem at all. Highly recommended for anyone suffering from plantar fasciitis or chronically tight calves. Far superior to using a step or strap to try and get into those calf muscles.

I had really sore feet -- especially in the morning. I'm an avid racquetball player and I thought I was just getting old and had to live with it. Then I learned about plantar fasciitis. I bought Superfeet GREEN Trim to Fit Insoles, (F) Mens 11.5 - 13 insoles and the Medi-Dyne ProStretch. What a difference! I think the ProStretch is having the greatest effect. I have it in my bedroom and use it in the morning, when I get home from work and just before going to bed. My feet stopped hurting.
I got lazy and stopped using it for a week and the pain returned. I started again and the pain went away again. This thing really works!

I had pretty severe plantar fasciitis in my left foot/ankle. I was unable to run, and some days, even walking very much was not possible. Had moderate to severe pain everyday. Almost unable to get out of bed and even put weight on my left foot some days.
Bought one of these ProStretch devices in SEP 07 and in 5 months had almost no pain and started running again. Used it before and after exercising, and after 8-9 months have never had another reoccurrence of pain or plantar fasciitis. Still use it occasionally for preventive measure. Very heartily recommend this simple product that provided me fantastic results!!

I tore the medial head of my gastrocnemius (inside calf muscle) when I overstretched it after playing tennis earlier in the day. This little device practically saved my life! It works so well and really stretches out the calf muscle better than any method I tried before. I had suffered for 6 weeks until I purchased this item and after a week and a half of using this device just twice a day I finally felt relief. The muscle has lenghtened and the palpable and visible gap is practically gone. I highly recommend this- not just for the ankle but also for the calf. My physical therapist has me using the Medi-Dyne ProStretch as part of my routine in the clinic. To some extent one can get the same results by placing the ball of one's foot on a step and putting your weight on that foot. In fact that was part of the routine I was to follow at home. I often experience foot pain in the ball of my foot when attempting this. The ProStretch accomplishes the same exercise goals but distributes the body's weight across the whole bottom of the foot and eliminates the pain I was experiencing while providing a better stretch than the "step" routine.
