Our sons, ages 5 and 3, had so much fun playing with the Marky Sparky Blast Pad of some friends that I decided to order one for them. What a terrific purchase! Although the recommendation is for kids ages 8+, it is an easy-to-use toy for even my little guy. The kids get a lot of exercise, jumping with all their might on the launch pedal and then running after the launched rockets. It's a good group toy, too, since kids can take turns and "compete" to see who can send their rocket the highest. Grown-ups can join in the fun, too. The rockets go impressively high--my guess is our kids can send them up 20-25 feet in the air, my husband has gotten some to go as high as 40 feet.
This toy is an example of simple things sometimes being the most fun. The set-up is a piece of cake--just expand the launching tube, pull out the air pedal, slide on a rocket, and stomp away! Storage is neat and easy, given that everything tucks away into the handy carrying case.
I would highly recommend the Blast Pad for kids ages 3+. It's a fun, engaging, easy-to-use toy for a wide range of ages, and it promotes sharing and exercise to boot.

A child had this at our local park and allowed my son to play with him. Before we knew it, all of the toddlers (boys and girls alike) were lining up to take their turn at launching the rockets! We got it for him and it has been a very fun toy for him and for us to share with his playmates as well. I even got my entire family involved with it and we had a blast doing it (aged 3 to 71 with teenagers, college age, and 30 and 40 somethings, too). Just be careful not to play near trees and lose the rockets in the branches. I talked to a friend who bought the "junior" version which did not come with the carry case built in but was the same basic toy. I wouldn't skimp on this one. Get this one. The handle and case holds it all together and makes it very easy to toss in the trunk for park outings and easy for your child to "clean up" and carry along so you don't have to!Customer Review: Still going strong after almost 2 summers of continual wear

We actually received the Blast Pad as a gift and I was sceptical how much it would be used. It is easy enough my 3 year old can get it out, set it up and play with it without help. My 6 year old and 3 year old both are always dragging it out and in because it is very easy to use and clean up. All the part when stored snap into the base which means not alot of space is needed either. The rockets feel like they are made out of a very thick card board and foam. There is no fear if somebody gets hit with it when coming back down it is very light. We have had this out at every birthday party and family get together and all the kids want to see who can get it highest. My sister liked it so much she bought it for her 4 year old nephew and he loves it. I plan on buying one for my 2 nieces birthday.Customer Review: A Stomp Rocket that actually works

I have bought other stomp rockets before and they simply did not work unless they were perfectly positioned. This toy is wonderful. My daughter who is going to turn 4 soon loved this toy. She can jump on it herself and that is something because she has a hard time jumping. It is good for the little ones to learn how to jump and balance. They can put the rockets on themselves and then they run to go get them. Kids get plenty of exercise. While one is running after a rocket, the next kid is putting one on. Wonderful because parent need not be there to operate. Excellent for a wide age range. Adults like stomping too!!Customer Review: Get extra rockets

This is a go-to toy in our house (and a great gift) and we typically go through 1 every Spring/Summer because it gets so much play. I usually have to replace it because of "odd" events and not a result of the toys durability. We left it outside one night and a critter chewed through the foot pad, another one got so much play that we blew a crack in the tubing. But this shouldn't deter you from purchase as Marky Sparky does have excellent customer service when it comes to replacements. Be sure to get extra rockets - it only comes with three and it good to have the extras. I think I have about 6 on my roof somewhere!
