I use this to transport boxes of documents both in the office and outside on business. It works great.
This is well designed, lightweight, easy to open and close, and really does fold flat and compactly for storage. Putting this in a car trunk or back seat is a breeze. And it is inconspicuous in someone's office when closed.
I chose this over more expensive units because they tend to be much heavier, so using them outside the office is not as convenient, and I never even come close to the rated 150lb limit on this unit.
Another review has complained about balance problems with a lighter load, but I have not experienced any such thing.
Note that unlike a luggage carrier, this hand truck does not come with any bungee cords, though you could certainly buy those separately and use them if you wanted to.
Bottom line: I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of construction given the low price compared to other hand trucks. Unless you need something really heavy duty, this cart is perfect for everyday use in the office.
Update March 25, 2010: I just discovered that my local Costco is selling this product for only $21.99.

I just received this cart, which was purchased to move a PA system. For the price, I didn't expect much, and I'm both pleased and surprised at the construction of the unit. The base is well designed and made of cast aluminum - certainly adequate for most loads. The frame is plastic, molded over steel in the critical areas, with the handle of tubular aluminum. The wheels are molded rubber "tires" over substantial plastic, and turn freely. The handle grip is molded rubber for a better grip, and it's set up so a squeeze of the double handle extends the unit to either of two fixed stops - comfortable for taller or shorter users.
This is not a cart for every day heavy use - but for something to throw in the trunk or use at home or office for the occasional heavy job it's just the ticket. As an airline carrier it's probably overkill, unless you're hauling a weighty sample case - this is definately not one of those little one-suitcase lightweight carts. The 150 lb. carrying claim may be a bit exaggerated, but not much.
I give it 5 stars because it's perfect for the likely uses, and a remarkably good deal at the price (especially with the free shipping)

I bought this thing to haul some bass guitar amplifiers around. Wound up using it for countless other things. I love the one hand open and close which is super easy to do, fits inside my trunk with no problem even when my trunk is full, it's lightweight, strong (pretty sure I put over 150 lbs. on it)... I have no complaints whatsoever about this. Story: A few days after buying it I was moving some stuff into storage. Guy unloading next to me asked if we were done w a dolly I was using. I told him I wasn't. After getting everything unpacked from my car I noticed my new handtruck was gone. I look over, and the guy who wanted to borrow the dolly was using it. I told him, "That's my handtruck!, not the storage places." He said no it wasn't. We went back and forth more than a couple of times and were both getting a bit heated. I double and triple checked to see if I still had mine, and didn't. Long story short, it had been leaning on the other side of my car. :) Point of story: Everybody's got one of these things, and I can still sometimes be an idiot. I actually bought this on Ebay, but am about to buy a second one here because it's cheaper on Amazon!
This is a fabulous little dolly. It's not really just a luggage cart..everyone has wheeled luggage these days anyway.
We use it in our warehouse to haul 70 pound boxes around and it fits into the car easily so that when it's time to drop off a mountain of boxes at the PO or haul home the things I order on Amazon (grin), it's right there.
Getting a second one so that we can keep one at home, too.
We tried other folding carts and they couldn't handle the weights we were putting on them. This one is great and the price can't be beat.
Don't try this at home, kids, but I was able to lift my 175 pound hubby off the floor and wheel him around on it..it's one tough little dolly.
Update 3 years later: These carts have seen almost daily usage for nearly 3 years now and are still in perfect condition. I have never had a 'personal' dolly last like these. It's truly a superb product.

For the longest time, I used an old luggage cart that I had for hauling things here and there. Somewhere along the way I "lost" it and replaced it with this one.
I take things to/from my car. . post office. . . PakMail . . . and other places on a daily basis. I'm using this hand truck all the time, and have been for over a year and it works GREAT! Though it says that you can carry up to 150 pounds, my loads are usually less than 50 and though I'm sure it would hold 150 pounds, I don't think that this is the type of hand truck you would need if you were going to be using it for such weights on a constant basis.
It's easy to put in my car. . . It stores easily in my home as well. It's very light and simply works like a charm. Honestly, I waited so long to review it because I really didn't know if it would last and so I thought that I would try it out for awhile first. Well, that was over a year ago, and I'm still VERY happy with it!
