Description of Magna Cart Elite 2 Hand Truck

Ideal for travelers, trade show exhibitors, and anyone else who frequently hauls boxes and other gear from place to place, the Magna Cart Elite 2 personal hand truck is engineered with toughness in mind.
The Magna Cart Elite 2 will support up to 200 pounds and folds to a compact size for easy storage.
The 10-1/2-pound hand truck features durable metal hybrid construction and will support up to 200 pounds. The 7-inch rubber wheels, meanwhile, roll smoothly on virtually any surface, from pavement to trim carpet to linoleum. Best of all, the truck folds up compactly for storage or carrying, with a footprint of only 28.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide. The hand truck's narrow profile makes it ideal for carrying on planes (it fits easily in overhead compartments), trains, and cars, and when you're not using it, simply hang it on a peg in the garage or stow it next to the fridge.

Specifications:

Customer Review: 2 wheels for fun

Very nice. Easy to use. Easy to fold up. Tires could be bigger. Overall Great!

Customer Review: Utilitarian cart for my mobile office. Great customer service.
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

My first cart arrived. I noticed that the button you push to unfold the cart and raise the handle seemed to be overly taught. After a few months the metal where the center piece attaches to the bottom of the cart failed. I addition a section of the metal broke on the side.

No problem. I emailed the company and heard back from two of the owners. They requested photos of the damage and upon receipt of the photos immediately shipped a replacement cart. Needless to say customer service was exceptional and the company stands behind there products. I did not have to pay any of the shipping charge. I immediately noticed the button to release the handle and the noseplate worked smoothly.Magna Cart Elite 2 Hand Truck

I use the cart to attach my wheeled computer and file case (wheel bearings went out on the case) and on top of that I attach a small laser printer with a bungee cord. My mobile office. The cart is perfect for that use with one flaw. As others have commented the handle is a bit on the short side. I could use about 2 or 3 more inches. I am only 5'10" tall. I am going to craft a wood extension for the handle when I get a chance to get back in my shop.

I also use the cart for miscellaneous jobs around the office. I purchase my case paper from a store in the same block as my office and it makes for an easy haul.

The ability to fold the cart is handy as I store it in an office cabinet along with a small vacuum cleaner and a three step ladder.

Customer Review: Great lightweight hand truck

Magna Cart Elite 2 Hand Truck

I ordered this hand truck to use for arts and craft shows. I need to transport large tote boxes from my car to the exhibition halls and have struggled with the loading and unloading. After borrowing one from a friend, I ordered my own.

This hand truck is sturdy with an aluminum carrying shelf that extends to 11 inches when folded out. It carries up to 225 lbs., has airless tires and opens with the push of a button.

Another reviewer said it is somewhat low for a tall person. I am 5'7" and find it adequately tall for me.

The handle is padded, so it wheels evenly and rests comfortably in the hand. But best of all -- it weighs only 13 pounds and stores on a wall hook. The wheels fold in so it is only 2 inches deep--great for transporting in my sedan.

How did I ever manage without this wonderful cart?

Highly recommended.

Customer Review: Nice hand truck
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

I'm moving across the country in a few weeks so I decided to purchase a relatively small and light hand truck to do the heavy lifting for me. I really like the fold-up convenience of the Magna Cart Elite 2 because it stores easily in a closet or other out-of-the-way location yet seems to have the capability of easily handling heavy boxes.

Expanding the hand truck is as easy as pressing the yellow button, sliding the handle all the way up, and then pushing the foot out and down. To collapse the hand truck, just follow these same directions in reverse.

This particular hand truck does not come with large pneumatic tires so it may not be particularly well suited for handling stairs. Even so, the tires are large enough that it will make do if you have a small step or two to cross. If you need to cross stairs at an entry way, I recommend using a ramp to make the job a bit easier.
