If you've only used the thin metal tent stakes or the plastic yellow ones you need to invest in these tent stakes. The amount of money and time you'll spend replacing the metal or yellow stakes makes these a great investment. I've used 12+ times and haven't had 1 stake bend. They also hold into the ground better than the standard metal or plastic stakes. I highly recommend!Customer Review: great stake

I used this tent stake on the great plains of Kansas. Two friends had their tents lift up out of the ground during high winds associated with nearby tornadoes. My tent was held fast and I didn't even worry at all. BTW this was in rocky hard ground and my stakes went in without as much effort as my friends.Customer Review: MSR Groundhog

Great stakes. Very strong, hold up well in rocky situations. You don't always need special stakes like these but when you do they are invaluable. They hold better in sand than the typical stake, but not as well as special sand stakes (but sand stakes do not work well in rocky soil).Customer Review: Worth the money

Much better then any stake you can buy at Walmart or similar stores. As long you dont lose them they will last, the sting loop is nice for pulling them out. If they are really stuck stick the handle of your hammer though the loop and pull, I have yet to bust the string.Customer Review: I love these stakes!

This is a great aluminum stake. I have a single and two-man tent that I've thrown away the original stakes and replaced them with these. They add a little bulk but they are solid, sturdy, and dependable every time.
