These tent stakes are well worth the price. I no longer have to worry about weak tent stakes bending or braking when driving them into the ground. These stakes tear through the dirt with relative ease, and stays in the dirt once driven. As a matter of fact, it's very windy out now (20MPH) and I just replaced my old tent stakes with these, and the tent is holding up perfectly under windy conditions.
Buy these stakes! You won't be disappointed.

These kick ass stakes take a pounding and grip, grip, grip.
7075-T6 aerospace aluminum alloy construction, has a tensile strength similar to steel.
Do not confuse these quality stakes with the coleman stakes that look similar. In a pinch I bought some of the coleman stakes and they are junk. The coleman stakes bend very easily without much abuse. They are clearly made from some lesser grade of aluminum.

The product is as good as any of the reviewers suggest but there is an alternative, the COLEMAN ALUNMINUM TENT STAKES 4 in a pack for 7 bucks at THE SPORTS AUTHORITY (a chain sporting goods store), in appearance and material they are identical to the MSR BRAND. I bought 12 for 21 bucks and I'm super happy with the purchase. Rather you go with the MSR or save a few bucks with the coleman model #2000001318 I believe you'll be happy with either.Customer Review: best alum stake around

by far, the best alum tent stakes I've ever owned. The tri-leg design is the extra reinforcement it needs (which many don't have) to drive into just about any type soil. The only upgrade I can think of would be to go with the same design in titanium... which I have, but now that I've got these, I don't think the strength improvement and minor weight savings justifies the excessive cost of the titanium variety. I've used these stakes three times now and in two different surfaces (fine gravel at a tent site & in a field). They were easy to put in and easy to take out. Most importantly, the tent was secure in high wind. The first time used was in the mountains with 25 mph winds for an outdoor market event. Two other canopies blew over and broke, ours stayed firm and secure.
I recommend these stakes.
