I just received my first set today.I now understand why everyone likes these so much.First,they are made out of the strongest grade of material we used to build aircraft,strong,but light.Second,the shape,the pics really don't do them justice,they are three sided like a broadhead for an arrow and have the diameter of a dime.Very small surface area for less friction when knocking them in,and because of the strong three sided shape they could be wiggled back out without damage.Very nice,I will buy more in the future.Customer Review: Tough stakes better with Amazon Prime!

Yes indeed, sometimes more is better. The "Do the math" reviewer forgot to tell you that they want $8.95 shipping and handling... which brings the price to $24.95. Use Amazon Prime and save. We have 16 groundhogs and tented from mountain tops to seashores and never had a problem in any kind of terrain or weather. These are the stakes that all the better vendors are trying to copy... but they are still the best I've found in 60 years of camping. This is one product that is sure to please... even at $2.50 each!Customer Review: Great for serious and not so serious camping :-)

These stakes are great because they're lightweight, easy to put into the ground and pretty much indestructible. Whether you're backpacking and need some light stakes or you want to tie down the family tent during heavy winds, these are the ones you want. We got a new tent this summer and after bending the third one of the stakes that came with it I remembered I bought these and didn't look back a the flimsy ones ever again... My only regret is not buying more of these! :-)Customer Review: Worth every penny

I've had many tents, canopies, pagodas, etc.... I have tried many aftermarket stakes. These are by far the best. Simple to put in in most conditions, tough to break, only broken one when hitting it with a metal claw hammer and hit a rock. Easy to remove, even when the cord broke I was able to use the tip of another one to get the other out.
You don't know what good stakes are until you try these, also, you dont know what a difference good stakes can make.

MSR Ground Hog Stake KitI camp with a group on the Northern California Coast, on the beach, every summer. The tent stakes that came with my Coleman tent are not the best for sand. This year I purchased the MSR Ground Hog Stake Kit for my tent and the are great tent stakes, they work very well in the sand and we had no problems. These are the best tent stakes ever!
