This is a fantastic DVD for a quick and fun uplift as well as a sweaty workout. Leslie Sansone really does promise you'll sweat and you will sweat -- even when you follow the most modified exercises and/or perform the basic minimum amount of exercise. The music is one of the best tools here, in addition to the (rose-colored) weighted gloves (about two pounds). In particular, there's an interesting jazz instrumental piece that's really fun to "add a punch" with and later, in the fourth mile (47 minutes into the whole program), there's another, specially nice piece of music I like to think of as trance music; it involves a prolonged steady beat which mixes in horns and other instruments with a Bolero-like structure that just expands and expands.
By the fourth mile, Leslie Sansone is giggling and giddy and you will feel a similar or equal "happy drug" hormonal uplift as well. By the fourth mile, you just want to rock and wig out, and it's wonderful exercise for the body.
This workout is only Leslie (and the invisible audience, you), one-on-one, with no group sessions at all, but it is not at all a quiet or sedate or dull program with her alone. Even though it's just you and her here, you'll feel you've joined a "movement," one that's really plenty useful and enjoyable.
