Deluxe version of our Std System adds an Extra Coarse and an Ultra Fine honeSharpen all of your knives with ease with the Lansky Deluxe five-stone sharpening system. The system comes with five sharpening hones of different coarseness: an extra-coarse hone (70 grit), a coarse hone (120 grit), a medium hone (280 grit), a fine alumina oxide hone (600 grit), and an extra-fine ceramic hone (1,000 grit). As a result, you'll have the tools to sharpen virtually any type of kitchen, hobby, hunting, or garden knife. The system is easy to use, with a controlled-angle sharpening system built into the precision-engineered knife clamp. Simply secure the knife and choose your preferred angle and you'll receive a professional razor-sharp edge every time.
Each of the four angle options is suitable for a different knife type. The severe 17-degree angle is recommended for razor blades, X-Acto blades, scalpels, and similar tools, as it provides an extremely sharp but delicate edge. The 20-degree angle is commonly used for higher-quality blades, making it ideal for kitchen cutlery and filet knives. The 25-degree angle is recommended for knives that need a durable, sharp edge, such as hunting and outdoor knives. And the 30-degree angle is recommended for heavy-duty knives that commonly cut cardboard, wire, or carpets
Each honing stone is color-coded, with finger-grooved safety holders to keep your hand secure. The kit also comes with a guide rod for each honing stone, specially formulated honing oil, extra-long knife clamp screws, easy-to-follow multilingual instructions, and a custom molded storage/carrying case to hold all system components.

This is a great kit! The only limitation is that there are some small knives that can't be sharpened well due to angles - this is going to occur with any kit of this type/design. I have a friend who has been using his kit for over 10 years and sharpens well over 2 knives per week with it. It does show some wear but functions perfectly. Produces a razor edge easily. I have sharpened everything from normal steel blades to titanium blades. The kit works perfectly without issues. I highly recommend this kit.Customer Review: Great kit, lousy instructions

This has everyting you need to sharpen most knives. However, get onto YouTube and watch the videos on how to use them. They clear things up immediately and are the only reason I gave it 5 stars. Until I watched the videos, I had problems sharpening my knives beyond cuts-paper sharp.
How well does it work? This is the first sharpener where I can get most of my knives sharp enough to shave hair off of my arm. Good enough?

Great sharpening kit. Follow the directions and when you finish wrap some higher grit sandpaper (2000)around one of the sanding blocks in the kit. You just got yourself a fine sander for alot less than you would have spent on the sapphire or the like. Will really give you that razor sharp polished edge. just make sure its flush or you'll rip up the sand paper in the process.Customer Review: Best value knife sharpening system

I have used and owned this system previously for about 3 years, use it a lot. This purchase is for my son (22) who uses "my" kit about as much as I do. You can do as little or as much sharpening as you like, from coarse to superfine and have wonderfully sharp knives. This is the second Lansky "KIT" I have purchased. The first is the regular sharpening "stones" , and this one is the "diamond" sharpening stones. ALthough it does work a little faster than the regular stones by Lansky, it gives the same "edge", in just a little shorter time. I am pleased with the kit, but might advise new-commers to go for the regular Lansky stones.
