I bought this chain and lock for a Yamaha Zuma scooter. I checked it out beforehand and made sure the lock is the new type that can't be opened with a Bic pen. So no worries there. This chain is beefy and and lock, which you want for a $2,000 scooter. I also bought the Kryptonite U lock and the Xena disc lock. With these three locks there is no situation that I encounter in which I cannot safely secure my scooter. I spent about $185 total.

Just so you know, I wrap the Kryptonite chain around the floor board of the scooter. There is enough room for the chain to wrap completely around and then the small end slips through the large ring on the other end. I then can use the lock that comes with the chain to secure the end to the U lock that I also bought. The U lock can go around a bike rack or a post. A thief would have to cut my scooter in half to steal it, or find a way to cut through the chain or U lock.

For securing the scooter overnight at my residence (I have no garage), I sank a U shaped piece of rebar in concrete. Just the top loop of the rebar is visible, and no one is going to pull that out. So I secure the scooter to that. The Xena disc lock is an added measure of security. If anyone jostles the scooter, they will set off the Xena alarm, which will blister your ears, my friend.

No one is getting my scooter. Nope. No way.
