Thus, "large/x-large" translates to a hat size between 7-1/4 and 7-1/2. In spite of that, it's quite heavy and bulky. For $12, though, it does the trick.Customer Review: Nice Looking - Too Small for X-Large

This is a great looking skateboard helmet. I bought it for my 15 year old son, thinking the X-Large should be plenty big enough. It was way too small on his head though and had to return it.
