Customer Review: Great scope ....but

This is a fantastic telescope, the views you will get from it will be amazing. There are a few niggles though.
1) The supplied camera adapter feels flimsy, mine fell apart the first time I used it (I did manage to put it back together as it is a simple piece of kit, the part where it screws into the T2 adapter came adrift releasing a large spring and the aperature ring)
2)while the supplied tripod is ok it certainly isn't the strongest in the world and once you have a camera attached to the scope the whole lot has a tendancy to drift (I am using a smallish D-SLR, Canon EOS350d). The fine adjustment mechanism feels like it will let go whenever you touch it.
3) the focus and magnification controls on the scope are quite stiff, so once you have got your target lined up on the lowest mag and try to zoom, you move completely off target.
So as I said earlier great scope, you will be able to see the moon in all its glory and see those distant views brilliantly. Just don't get it as a substitue for a long camera lens or you will be disappointed.
