My daughter and I love the Kleen Kanteen and the Avent spouts - but she (12 months) has broken 4! of the black adapter rings in 7 months. These cost $4 to replace (found them locally, so no shipping charge). They have all broken when she has dropped them from her high chair onto a LINEOLEUM floor and it lands upside-down. They are not breaking due to her super-infant strength or a 4-story fall or landing on concrete.
Has anyone tried the Oggi isip stainless sippies? They are much cheaper. I can't tell if it also accepts the Avent spout. If it does, it might have the same problem with the adapter breaking.
I have taped up our most recent adapter with electrical tape in the hopes that it will provide some stability and this one won't break.
Otherwise - its great. No leaks if properly assembled, and you can put a beer can coozie on it to keep cool for longer.

Bought 2 of these for my 3 and 1&1/2 year olds and they are great. I really like getting away from always using plastic sippys - they make everything taste like plastic and I am worried about them breaking down over time. These are safe, BPA-free and leave water tasting great. They don't leak and fit easily in the pocket of our diaper bag. They look great too and great colour choices. A lot of people comment on them. The only thing I would warn against is that they can be heavy when full so my younger child can just manage them but you would want to wait until a child is a little older to purchase.Customer Review: Great sippy!

I love the stainless steel sippy! No BPA, no phlathates, etc... And it matches my own stainless steel water bottle. ;-) The only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of five is because, after having it for 3 months, my daughter threw it onto the linoleum from her high chair and the adapter broke. So I had to order a new adapter, but I didn't actually need the entire thing (though that was the only way to order it). All I needed was the black ring that the spout is inserted into. These sippys are great: durable, less drippy than most, easy to hold, etc... My 16-month old twins love them. My only issue is that they love to throw them down a lot, which is where the durability of the sippys come in to play, but my hardwood floors pay a price :). They leak slightly, but nothing compared to other sippys we've used. Overall, I'm happy with this product especially with the fact that they can transition into water bottles as my girls grow past the sippy stage.
