Thanks to Chippy for suggesting the Built NY 20-ounce Neoprene cover. It fits the KK 27-ounce bottle and keeps ice water cold for hours. If you use the pop-up sport cap, you have to suck on it because, of course, you can't compress steel like plastic, but that's no big deal. You can also twist off the whole cap; the pop-up part fits in a doohickey that hangs from the neck of the bottle, so the cap stays clean and you won't lose it. I was going to hold back one star because of the steep price, but since I expect this to last a long time, and I'm considering buying another for work, I decided to give it the five it deserves.Customer Review: These water bottles are great!

Bought four of these water bottles for my family. No matter how often we cleaned out our plastic water bottles, they always had a bad odor. We have had these water bottles for about two months now and love them. No odors and we love the larger size so we don't have to keep filling them. Works great for the kids during school and my husband at work. I made color coded bands so that each family member knows which bottle is theirs. These bottles fit nicely in the side of backpacks, lunch boxes etc. Our family is very pleased with our puchase and we tend to drink more water because of how clean it tastes.Customer Review: love the "no plastic" taste

I have used my Klean Kanteens on several hikes so far. I really like the way the water tastes. I just put filtered tap water in each along with a few ice cubes made with filtered water. No more buying water in plastic bottles that have to be recycled. I didn't have the problems that I have read in other reviews about getting water out of the sport tops. There is a small hole in the sport top that is partially covered with a flexible plastic piece (this may be a new version). This lets enough air into the kanteen for the water to come out without a problem. Easy to clean in the dishwasher.Customer Review: No more plastic leaching

I've only had my Klean Kanteen for a few days but I love it already. I bought one for myself and each of the kids. My husband doesn't drink enough water to justify buying one for him.
It's so refreshing to open my water bottle and not smell plastic. I find that the top only squeaks(whistles) when drinking if I've tightened it too much. Otherwise, no squeaks.
I had no idea so many people squeeze their water bottles. I never have so that is not an issue for me.
I look forward to getting many years of use from this and have already shown it off to friends.

I bought each member of my family this stainless steel water bottle. And we love it. We haven't experienced any leakage and the water tastes great. It fits nicely in the car. And to personlize it so we can tell whose is whose we put stickers on them. Granted you can't dunk them in water to wash them with the stickers on them. You just need to use a damp cloth on the outside. And when the stickers wear off we put different ones on.So far the stickers have lasted several weeks. It's a cool way to personalize your Klean Kanteen without having to pay the extra expense for the colored ones.
