  • 21"H x 20"W x 23"D

The Kettler name has been synonymous with top-quality wheel toys for kids for more than 40 years, and the Kettler Alana Tricycle is no exception to the Kettler quality and design standards. The frame is constructed with high-carbon steel to last a lifetime and a fade-resistant polyester powder-coat finish with sturdy molded plastic components. Designed to grow with your child, the brightly colored Alana Trike will provide your child with years of fun through multiple stages of development from one year old through six years old. With the included removable chrome-plated push bar, the Alana Trike evolves from a parent-directed ride-on toy to an independently operated tricycle, all the while growing in size along with your child.

The Alana Trike has a four-position telescoping frame with a one bolt release so it can grow with your child or be used by multiple children. The four-position adjustable high-back seat with a handhold is appropriate and supportive enough for one year olds and sturdy for rough riding four year olds. The parent-operated chrome plated push bar allows kids to ride and enjoy the trike long before they learn to pedal, as young as 12 months old or as soon as they can grip the handles. The push bar makes the trike a great stroller alternative for eager and active one year olds who don't like being passive passengers.

As your child grows he or she will be able to reach and operate the pedals, first with the guidance of an adult helping with the push bar, and eventually on his or her own. Pedaling the trike helps kids build confidence and leg strength as they explore independently. Designed to be safe for young riders, the Alana has wide synthetic MaxXtread tires that provide excellent traction for all-terrain riding and are super stable. The trike has a low center of gravity and limited turn radius steering that restricts the handlebars and front wheel from turning more than 45 degrees to the left or right, radically reducing the danger of tipping over. The trike is also equipped with a fun rear-tipping bucket that is great for both carrying and collecting supplies and is easy to remove and clean when necessary. The Kettler Alana Tricycle is a standout toy for both its quality and its longevity.

Sports reviews of Kettler Kettrike Alana Tricycle with Pushbar

Customer Review: cute sturdy trike
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

After some research I selected this trike for my soon to be 2 years daughter.
Pros:
It is cute and sturdy - so far she has not fallen from it due to the wide rear construction - the back weels are wide spaced for stability. The seat looks comfy and she can rest her back on the high seat.
Cons:
The parent handle is only useful if the child can stir the trike. One of the pedals felt down on the second day of usage but mu hubby was able to re-attached it.

Customer Review: Nice, description disappoints
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

The description states that trike has 3-in-1 Freewheel. However, after assembling we found that it did not have this feature. Trike is very nice quality and sturdy. We do not want to spend the time disassembling to return. We are fairly disappointed at this time with our purchase, but we are satisfied that our daughter will grow into a nice trike eventually. I would just advise others to be aware of this fact if the freewheel feature is a reason for your purchase.

Customer Review: Solid Construction. Trike can grow with your child.
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

Bought this trike for our 2 year old. Solidly built and very sturdy. Trike is adjustable so she can ride it until she is ready for a 2 wheeler.

Customer Review: No Hand Brake
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

The description for this item states "child-operated dual wheel handbrake" and this item does not have that feature.

Customer Review: Broke after a few uses but we fixed it
Sport shop rating: 3 Stars

We love this pink bike and our daughter is crazy about it. But after about 10 uses it broke. I'll explain the problem. There is a plastic piece on the front tire - you can see it in the picture. It's a dark pink circle that holds the tire in place. There's one on each side of the tire. This piece broke from light wear with a 21 lb toddler. The front tire completely disconnected from the bike.

My hubbie found a replacement at the hardware store and the bike is back to normal. Our daughter loves her outings. We also bought the Kettler seatbelt accessory- highly recommended. You might think they are snug on the seat but wait til you get to a hill or a bump in the sidewalk. Better safe. I'm thinking about getting her a helmet too.
