The Kettler name has been synonymous with top-quality wheel toys for kids for more than 40 years, and the Kettler Alana Tricycle is no exception to the Kettler quality and design standards. The frame is constructed with high-carbon steel to last a lifetime and a fade-resistant polyester powder-coat finish with sturdy molded plastic components. Designed to grow with your child, the brightly colored Alana Trike will provide your child with years of fun through multiple stages of development from one year old through six years old. With the included removable chrome-plated push bar, the Alana Trike evolves from a parent-directed ride-on toy to an independently operated tricycle, all the while growing in size along with your child. The Alana Trike has a four-position telescoping frame with a one bolt release so it can grow with your child or be used by multiple children. The four-position adjustable high-back seat with a handhold is appropriate and supportive enough for one year olds and sturdy for rough riding four year olds. The parent-operated chrome plated push bar allows kids to ride and enjoy the trike long before they learn to pedal, as young as 12 months old or as soon as they can grip the handles. The push bar makes the trike a great stroller alternative for eager and active one year olds who don't like being passive passengers. As your child grows he or she will be able to reach and operate the pedals, first with the guidance of an adult helping with the push bar, and eventually on his or her own. Pedaling the trike helps kids build confidence and leg strength as they explore independently. Designed to be safe for young riders, the Alana has wide synthetic MaxXtread tires that provide excellent traction for all-terrain riding and are super stable. The trike has a low center of gravity and limited turn radius steering that restricts the handlebars and front wheel from turning more than 45 degrees to the left or right, radically reducing the danger of tipping over. The trike is also equipped with a fun rear-tipping bucket that is great for both carrying and collecting supplies and is easy to remove and clean when necessary. The Kettler Alana Tricycle is a standout toy for both its quality and its longevity. Specifications: - Recommended ages: 1 to 6 years old

Sports reviews of Kettler Kettrike Alana Tricycle with PushbarCustomer Review: Good quality tricycle Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
We initially purchased the Kiddieland Winnie the Pooh tricycle from Sam's Club, but returned it because the train didn't work and the trike was poor quality. My niece commented that it seemed like the trike would tip over every time she turned a corner.
I wanted a better quality tricycle, so I ordered this one from Amazon. It's wonderful! Much higher quality, and sturdier. My daughter (age 12 months) loves to be pushed through the house on this trike, or pushed around outside. If you have a younger child, I'd definitely recommend purchasing the seatbelt. My daughter reaches for it as soon as she sits on the seat. The one downside is that you can't lock the pedals if your little one is too young to self-propel. My daughter hurt her foot the first time we put her on it. She's learned to pick her feet up and put them on the center bar, or we slightly tilt the trike so that only the rear wheels are on the ground and the pedals don't move. I haven't tried purchasing the footrest since other reviewers had difficulty with it.
Customer Review: Great Tricycle Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I read other reviews on this bicycle and decided to buy it. This bicycle is designed well and does not fall over like the other radio flyer tricycle I had bought. It was easy to put together. I like the pushbar so I can help steer the tricycle. My daughter is 3 and loves the basket in back so she can put the rocks and other things she finds along her journey in it. If she gets tired I just raise the front wheel off the ground and push. Like other's have noted, the front wheel and pedals still go around when you are pushing so you have to raise the front wheel when you are pushing. I highly recommend this tricycle.Kettler Kettrike Alana Tricycle with Pushbar
Customer Review: Adorable and sturdy Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Very well-made tricycle. Seems to ride smoothly. Our daughter loves the bucket, because she can take her dolls for her ride. The push-bar wasn't as useful as I thought it would be. Using it didn't allow our daughter to feel the sensation of propelling herself forward -- pushing the tricycle with the bar moved the pedals, so she didn't have to work and didn't initially grasp the concept of pedalling. Thus, we didn't use the bar after that and she figured it out.
Customer Review: Terrific trike! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
Got this for my granddaughter and it is sooo nice...it cost a bit more than others but is well worth it. She has used it for almost a year and it STILL looks great. It is made in Germany and made well...MUCH better than the ones made in China. My neighbor has one that was made in China and it is a wreck now...Buy this one for your little one, you will not be disappointed.
Customer Review: Perfect tricycle for a 2 year-old! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I bought this adorable tricycle for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday. She absolutely loves it and carts around her dolls and stuffed animals in the basket. She can reach the pedals, unlike other tricycles on the market. I also bought her the Disney princess horn and she loves it too. Highly recommended!
