Description of Kent Scooter and Kick Bike System

Cruise around town in style with this unique scooter and bike combo from Kent. Constructed of sturdy steel, this scooter/bike pushes like a regular scooter, but offers 12-inch inflatable tires to roll over anything (unlike traditional inline skate wheels and many scooters that stop when you hit a rock). Additionally, real side pull brakes and brake levers--rather than a small lever--will ensure stopping power while cruising along. The bicycle component of this unique combo offers foldable pedals attached to the rear wheel to easily switch out from a scooter to a bike in no time. You can store this innovative riding machine almost anywhere as it folds down to 38 by 21 by 12 inches when folded. Toss it in the back of the car or RV for fun and easy transportation. Kids of all ages (and adults, too) will have fun riding this fun combo scooter/bike. The maximum rider weight is 200 pounds.

Specifications:

  • Steel frame
  • 12" inflatable tires
  • Front and rear side pull brakes
  • Folds to 38 by 21 by 12 inches
  • 200-pound weight capacity

Sports reviews of Kent Scooter and Kick Bike System

Customer Review: Excellent Invention
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I purchased this scooter/bike for my 7 (almost 8) year old who is a little hesitant when it comes to learning to ride a bike, hoping the "coolness" would intrigue him enough to keep trying - and it has! I have read all the other reviews - so I thought I would address some of the issues. It actually wasn't that hard to put together, if you have any knowledge of how a cable brake system works, it should be easy. Hubby didn't even open the instruction booklet. On the subject of brakes, they will take some tweaking until they are set properly to perform like they should. And the pedals do NOT spin while you are using the scooter, in fact, they fold flat and there is metal "stop" which will lock them into position so they can't be accidentally hit into motion. Now, the seat is a little uncomfortable, especially for some of us older, wider folks, but most of them are. All in all - this is a great product - for kids and adults - I might even order another one for me - takes up a lot less space than my big bike. Did I mention it folds up so you can take it along in the car? Great Product. Love it.

Customer Review: Get what U pay for.

I bought this scooter as a summer dog sled. Does it work well? Yeah but only after I took it a part and greased the bearings, the wheels needed to be trued. The brakes are a lot to be desired, but functions fine otherwise. All that said most people are not going 15-20 mph on this thing. I could not build a scooter of this quality for the price. It does what its suppose to do, its a scooter. I am satisfied with the product.

Customer Review: Ken Scooter and Bike

I like this scooter very much. I do have a problem with bursitis in my hip, and it is helping me to walk my dog. Especially because of both ways- scooter and bike. I will recommend it to many seniors, you can have lots of fun!

Customer Review: Great Product, lousy assembly instructions
Sport shop rating: 3 Stars

I bought this for my 7 year old daughter for her birthday. She loves it and it's the "hit" of the block. However, the assembly "instructions" were pretty much worthless, unless you build bikes for a living. I struggled with this for several hours (and I am usually VERY good at putting these kinds of things together). Eventually I had to take it to the local bike shop and pay for them to assemble it.

Customer Review: What Fun!
Sport shop rating: 4 Stars

I bought this to help me take my small dogs on a faster paced "walk/run" since I am not a jogger. Little did I know that I would have the time of my life riding up and down the street on this thing feeling like a kid again. I even rigged up my own basket when one of my dogs was healing from surgery.
This goes over dirt/asphalt roads like a pro. I have a neighbor who has a young daughter who has always been afraid to ride a bike and she started borrowing this scooter and then started riding it like a bike. Have I said enough to tell you that I am happy with this product? I had to buy a different seat tho, most of us over 40 must have more cushioning than these narrow little seats!
