I found several used tandems for far more money than the brand new Kent. I am pleased with the workmanship and the quality of the derailers, grip shifters, and other major components. This bike came out of the box tuned and ready to go. The shifters were intact and functioned like it came out of a bike shop. The brakes needed some tuning, but after minimal adjustments they worked superbly. A wonderful bicycle! Set-up was straight forward and easy. Little adjustment needed for the derailer or brakes. Many hours of enjoyment already spent on the bike. A great family edition. It looks like they used a manual for a standard bike and just added the word "Tandem" to the top of it. Which makes assembly a little more difficult since the instructions don't match the bike.
Mine also arrived damaged and with some missing parts.

I wanted a tandem that would work with my disabled 10 year old. this one is perfect! i had it professionally assembled at a local bike shop and they commented on the quality. I would buy it again in a heart beat.
