I have always wanted a bike like this one to enjoy with my daughter on the weekends. I saw the price and was sceptical of the quality. I went to 4 or 5 local bike stores looking for a tandem bike and the lowest priced ones were just under 1,000.00 dollars. I took a chance with this because I have always had great service from Amazon and I knew I could return it with little or no hassle. I made the purchase, the bike arrived in a week. The box was a little beat up but the components inside seemed undamaged. I took it to my local bike store for assembly, they charged me a fair 35.00 dollars to build it. I love this bike, the quality is excellent, the ride and shifting are smooth and most of all, my daughter loves to ride it with me. The bike is definately an attention getter. I have not had any problems with it so far after a couple of months of riding. I would highly recommend this bike for the quality and the great low price.Customer Review: Kent Tandem

note to buyer: GET A METRIC ALLEN WRENCH. Nice idea, one size tool adjusts SEATS, HANDLE BARS and BRAKES. They don't provide one and you are going to need one.
CONS?:inner tube had an air leak BEFORE I rode it ($2 patch), all reflectors broken (packaged from the factory broken)and instructions are worthless. I wish it had grease fittings to lube sprockets but maybe they don't ever need it??? Delivered in good condition. Forget any support from invisible Kent Bike company.
PROS?: Seems pretty stable and well made. Spouse and I have ridden 3 or 4 times, and 50 miles or so, with no problems, though I believe I am doing most of the peddling! It's definitely fun.
Would I buy it again?? YES YES YES. Oh, and don't forget to bring along that ALLEN WRENCH for on the trail adjustments. You're welcome!

What a pleasant surprise this purchase was. I had read horror stories of bent cranks and chainrings and wheels not being true but the bike arrived in perfect condition and assembled in about an hour. The care which was taken to protect the bike and its moving parts was evident all throughout its shipping container. The only real adjustment was for the brakes and all that was left after that was inflating the tires. My wife and I took the tandem on its innaugural ride and everything worked perfectly from shifting to braking. What a wonderful purchase! Sure, we will not be entering the Tour de France anytime soon, but the bike is a lot of fun and I am sure will give us a great deal of together time. If you are thinking about getting into riding a tandem, this would be the place to start.Customer Review: Tandem bikes ROCK!

I bought this tandem bike for my 10 year old son who has autism. We haven't taught him how to ride a two wheeler, because he doesn't understand things like stop signs or how to cross an intersection safely. He had out grown this trailer bike, and I was looking for something he could move up to. I found this tandem bike on your website and noticed that the top tube for the rider in back was unusually low. This low height allows my boy to straddle the bike with his feet on the ground with no issues.
I haven't had any of the problems described in the other reviews. It came with all it's parts, wasn't damaged, and was easy to assembly. It's a long, comfortable, slightly heavy bike that is perfect for what it's designed for: cruising around the neighborhood. We love it!

Wow this bike is a great deal. I went to local bike shops to look for a tandem and they all had much more expensive bikes. They were also not as good looking as this bike. The bike came with the front wheel, seats and the handle bars off, so very little assembly was needed. A nice surprise was the kick stand which has a little release button so it is not to hard to kick it in the up position. I added a rear rack which has a detachable basket for those long trips to the park to play basketball or so I can take my camera. The bike is really a eye catcher, everyone we see has a big smile or a nice comment about the bike. If you are looking for a tandem do not hesitate to get this bike.
