These cards outlast a standard paper deck many times over! In our weekly Euchre tournament a standard deck of paper cards last about 6 weeks until they are worn and frayed. We have been using these and a pair of Copag decks for over 6 months and all four decks are as good as the day I got them. Any plastic cards will be more slippery than their paper counterpart, the Copaq cards have a slight texture to their surface but not enough to make much difference. They take about an hour to get used to but once you do they pay for themselves in no time.
