Had a classic Jansport backpack, looked pretty good on my back, very durable light-weight and all, however when my laptop, college textbooks, and other notebooks were in there, the weight distribution was uneven which made it difficult to carry. This new backpack I love it man, looks awesome on your back, very stylish! I can put a lot in it and it still feels light to carry and overall just really nice package. Only thing that I would complain about is how the big pouch does not open as wide as I'd like, but overall totally satisfied. I got this in black for $55 w/ tax, next day i checked, thing went up to $90! hahah
Description of JanSport Equinox Daypack
This 2000 cubic inch day pack works great for your day adventure. The cordura yarns in the 210 D Vert fabric provides strong abrasion resistance for backpacking or every day use.Hikers know the value of a good daypack, which must be comfortable, moderately spacious, and versatile. Enter the JanSport Equinox, an 1,850-cubic-inch daypack that meets all of the above requirements with ease. The Equinox offers dual AirCore shoulder straps made of comfortable dual-density foam, with breathable mesh back straps for increased air circulation. More significantly, the daypack's two large main compartments can hold everything from sack lunches to rain gear to first-aid kits. Add in a front utility pocket with an organizer for essentials and a side-mesh water bottle pocket and you have plenty of storage for both full-day hikes and school outings.
Other details include side compression straps to help keep the pack close to the body and manage the load, daisy-chain quick clip points, reflective zipper pulls for nighttime visibility, lashing straps for a jacket or rain gear, and a haul loop for larger items. The Equinox--which is made of 420-denier nylon and 210-denier vert cordura--measures 12 by 20 by 7 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 1 pound 2 ounces.
