Description of Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion TableThe IronMan Gravity 4000 Inversion Table is built with a durable extra wide tubular steel frame with a scratch resistant powder coated finish. It has a Memory foam vinyl covered backrest with a removable lumbar pillow for a comfortable head and lower back. It has tough rubber non-skid floor stabilizers that provide stability when inverting. Extra long safety handles provide easy return to the upright position and vinyl safety covers are added for safety. The ergonomically molded ankle holders provide comfort and security. When not in use the Gravity 4000 can be folded for stroage. Whether you want to reduce back stress or fatigue or stimulate your blood circulation, the Ironman Gravity 4000 inversion table makes a great household accessory. The inversion table contributes to your body's overall health by optimizing lumbar traction, thereby relieving pressure on your vertebrae discs and ligaments. And when your back starts to relax, the rest of your body follows. The table can also help with such areas as increasing body flexibility for improved athletic performance, reducing the effects of aging due to gravity, and relieving lower backaches due to sitting or standing. The Gravity 4000 boasts a durable tubular steel frame, a scratch-resistant powder-coated finish, and a memory-foam-vinyl-covered backrest with a removable lumbar pillow. More importantly, the inversion system is a breeze to use: once you rest your body against the nylon backrest and slip your feet into the ergonomically molded ankle cushions, simply reach your arms over your head. As your arms go up, your body gradually inverts up to 90 degrees. The only inputs are your energy and gravity itself. Users will also appreciate the tough rubber non-skid floor stabilizers, which keep the table stable while you invert, and the extra-long safety handles, which provide an easy return to an upright position. Other details include a height-adjustable frame up to 6 feet 6 inches; support for up to 350 pounds; vinyl safety side covers to protect hands and fingers; three starting inversion angles; and a patented, palm-activated adjusting ratchet ankle locking system. The Gravity 4000, which folds into a compact footprint for easy storage, measures 26 by 65 by 49 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 75 pounds. Sports reviews of Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion TableCustomer Review: Ironman Gravity 4000 - Worth it! Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I am a big fellow, 6'-5", 240 lbs. I get a little crazy with sports on occasion, and strain my lower back. I have had a weak back since a teenager, and visited a chiropracter in my earlier years. Recently I strained my back again, and discovered that my lower back is a little crooked. I decided to give inversion therapy a try. So far it has been fantastic! My lower back was finally able to stretch out and straighten enough so that I could begin a lower back exercise regimen to hopefully rid the lower back fatigue once and for all. This unit is built very well, rugged, and a snap to put together. Took about 40 minutes in all. All the parts were in the box and intact. Great product. It may take time for some to get used to the blood running to your head. The first couple of times I had to tilt back up, then back down cause I thought my eyes would pop. But I got used to it quickly and it isn't a problem anymore.
Customer Review: Very Pleased Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I'm 63 and have had compressed disk problems in my back and neck for years. I had been thinking about an inversion table to help decompress my disks and I bought the Ironman 4000 after looking at many inversion tables. The price was great compared to others and what sold me on it was the memory pading so I chose the Ironman 4000. I was told by a friend not to buy another piece of exercise equipment for most end up collecting dust but this one is different. It makes me feel better not exausted after I use it. I've had it for two months and use it twice a day, I love the padding and the ankle restraint which others didn't have. I can't say my disks are decompressing but I do feel taller afterwards and I haven't felt any negative effects from being upside down. It did take a few days to get used to being upside down and so far I keep the time short. I am pleased with this product and plan to use it daily.

Like most people, I did a bit of research prior to ordering an inversion table. I have herniated disks, as well as scapular pain with nerve infringement, and fibromyalgia. Though this table did not cure me, it has been instrumental (with the very first use) in reducing my pain. I discovered, after the very first day, that I didn't have the constant back stiffness that I was used to experiencing. Being able to move without constant pain has given me more energy. I am sleeping better. My husband is still skeptical....he doesn't like seeing me upside-down, and is fearful that I am going to either get stuck that way, or fall out on my head...LOL. I don't have this fear, as the table is very sturdy, and easy to use. I am pretty confident that I won't get stuck on my head. ;-) This table was WELL worth the money for me.
Customer Review: Great Table, Great Buy Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
My husband and I purchased this table about 2 months ago. We absolutely love it! I have a herniated disk (L5) and my husband has 2 buldged disks. After months of PT and lots of pain medication we decided to get an inversion table at our doctors suggestion. We couldn't be happier. This table is very sturdy. The back is comfortable and the lumbar pillow is great!
I read the reviews prior to buying and am surpised about some complaints on the leg restraints. I find it very comfortable and I sometimes use it barefoot, I always feel secure and don't feel any pain. We love the release mechanism because it is high enough that you don't have to bend all the way down to your ankles to release it.
If you have back trouble and looking for relief as well as comfort this is the inversion table to buy.
Customer Review: Still in business and good quality Sport shop rating: 5 Stars
I almost avoided buying this because a previous reviewer said the company was no longer in business and therefore there was no warranty or customer service. This seemed unlikely since Amazon was still selling them. I called the customer service number, spoke with an informed, helpful person who assured me they are in business.
In short, I find customer reviews very useful but be wary, some statements can be dead wrong.
Pros:
The quality is excellent for the price. Frankly, I can't believe it can be made and shipped for this price.
The table arrived from Amazon in less than a week.
Cons:
(Minor) Instruction booklet should describe the effect of the pivot adjustment (3 settings). The other adjustment, for the user's height is self-explanatory.
