Description of Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion Table

The IronMan Gravity 4000 Inversion Table is built with a durable extra wide tubular steel frame with a scratch resistant powder coated finish. It has a Memory foam vinyl covered backrest with a removable lumbar pillow for a comfortable head and lower back. It has tough rubber non-skid floor stabilizers that provide stability when inverting. Extra long safety handles provide easy return to the upright position and vinyl safety covers are added for safety. The ergonomically molded ankle holders provide comfort and security. When not in use the Gravity 4000 can be folded for stroage.
Whether you want to reduce back stress or fatigue or stimulate your blood circulation, the Ironman Gravity 4000 inversion table makes a great household accessory. The inversion table contributes to your body's overall health by optimizing lumbar traction, thereby relieving pressure on your vertebrae discs and ligaments. And when your back starts to relax, the rest of your body follows. The table can also help with such areas as increasing body flexibility for improved athletic performance, reducing the effects of aging due to gravity, and relieving lower backaches due to sitting or standing.

The Gravity 4000 boasts a durable tubular steel frame, a scratch-resistant powder-coated finish, and a memory-foam-vinyl-covered backrest with a removable lumbar pillow. More importantly, the inversion system is a breeze to use: once you rest your body against the nylon backrest and slip your feet into the ergonomically molded ankle cushions, simply reach your arms over your head. As your arms go up, your body gradually inverts up to 90 degrees. The only inputs are your energy and gravity itself.

Users will also appreciate the tough rubber non-skid floor stabilizers, which keep the table stable while you invert, and the extra-long safety handles, which provide an easy return to an upright position. Other details include a height-adjustable frame up to 6 feet 6 inches; support for up to 350 pounds; vinyl safety side covers to protect hands and fingers; three starting inversion angles; and a patented, palm-activated adjusting ratchet ankle locking system. The Gravity 4000, which folds into a compact footprint for easy storage, measures 26 by 65 by 49 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 75 pounds.

Sports reviews of Ironman Gravity 4000 Inversion Table

Customer Review: Great Inversion table at a great price!!!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I just recently received this inversion table.. Shipping was WAY faster than it originally said!! (thumbs up for that!!) It took me about 30 minutes to assemble it completely, using the tools that were provided in the box.. The back support of the table has memory foam, also a lumbar support pillow that can be easily attached or removed.. I have used an inversion table in the past, everyday for about 6 months, but that was when I lived with my uncle. The quality of THIS table is BETTER than the one my uncle owns.. Much more comfortable and a more stable feeling to it.. I believe my uncle paid nearly $300 for his inversion table, which is of lesser quality, and I got this table for $199.. I am VERY satisfied with the overall construction/stability/ease of assembly, etc. So far I've used it every day for the past few days, about 10 minutes in the AM, 10 minutes before bed.. I prefer to be fully inclined, it feels GREAT on the back!!! With the included adjustment strap, you can adjust how far you invert.. (most people need to work their way up to being fully inverted)

Note: using this thing in the morning makes you feel great for the rest of the day!! Use it before work, school, etc, and you will feel great all day.. It makes you feel as if you are energized and ready for the day!! THEN, use it at night right before climbing into bed!! You will sleep great!!

Customer Review: Great product for a reasonable price

I started experiencing some lower back pain and small "twinges" while playing disc golf and decided to go see the chiropractor. After getting x-rays and a few adjustments, I was told that he could help me but it would take approximately 6 months of treatment starting out at 3 times a week and then progressively getting less as time went on. The treatment would primarily be to decompress my last two vertabrae in my lower back. Since it's almost impossible for me to make an appointment three times a week due to my profession, I decided to purchase the Ironman Gravity 4000 on the recommendation of a co-worker. Boy am I glad I did! Just using this twice a day for 5-7 minutes a day has made me feel so much better. I still plan on returning to the chiropractor at some point so he can re-evaluate me but I think I'll keep the inversion table a secret until after the re-eval. I'm interested in seeing what he says as far as the condition of my spine.....

So, on to the product. Set up took about 30 minutes and the instructions were easy to follow. The table is very sturdy (which I had concerns about) since I weigh 250lbs. No worries on that count. Totally worth the money and a very well built quality product. I'd recommend it to anyone experiencing lower back pain.

Customer Review: WELL MADE AND EASY TO USE
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I did quite a bit of research on inversion tables in this price range. I chose this one because it has a solid back, molded ankle holders, and it folds up. So, I made the purchase and crossed my fingers. Now that I have been using it for a few weeks I am certain that I made the best choice. It was not hard to assemble like many other reviews who bought other brands have mentioned. The solid back is very comfortable, and I use the lumbar pillow for added comfort. It does not fold up very much, and is not easy to move on carpet, but that is a matter of friction and has nothing to do with this well made machine. It is a very solid device, and I have no worries of malfunction or getting hurt. The recommendations for use that comes with the manual are conservative and make sense. The molded ankle holders are very comfortable. Many reviewers of other tables talk about the discomfort of the rollers, and the need to wear boots or to buy additional gravity boots to use in place of the rollers. Not the case here. In fact, I often use it without shoes, and I find that I don't have to tighten the ankle holders to a point of discomfort. The release is very easy to opperate as well. I can't think of one complaint, and I highly recommend this product,

Customer Review: Really works
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I have had neck pain for quite a while due to degenerative arthritis. It would last for a few days, go away , then return again. I was thinking this was not going to be a good way to live and taking pain medicine is no good for chronic relief. I tried standard neck traction without much effect.

I decided to try an inversion table and it has made a huge difference. I was pretty skeptical at first, but desperate for relief. The pain went away since the first day after I used it. I even wondered if it was my mind playing tricks on me. But with only 2 or 3 sessions of a few minutes at most, my neck problems are gone entirely. I don't know if everyone would get the same positive results, but it is definitely worth a try for a couple hundred bucks for a lifetime investment.

Any inversion table would probably do the trick, but this one is built to last. Upside down is upside down. However there is a question of stability and ease of use. I cannot compare the Ironman 4000 with other tables as I haven't tried them. But it works very well. I like the ratchet system and the way it holds the ankles in place. The think is very sturdy and easy to set up. I hope it works for you. Inverting has many other benefits as well. Check it out.

Customer Review: Impressed
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I am a fit 73 year old woman and did a fair amount of research on inversion tables and liked what I was reading on the Ironman Gravity 4000. When it arrived my husband was gone playing golf and I had just got home from the gym and decided to assemble it myself. It only took me under 3 hours and found the instructions quite easy. The tough part was lifting the table onto the frame. This really is a two person task, however with the help of a stepladder I managed it on my own. At first I was disappointed with the size as it needs a fair bit of room. However, after getting rid of one small chest in the room I've managed to have it in my bedroom and have been using it 2 or 3 times a day and feeling the good results from it. I am 5' 3 1/2 inches and had to set it at 5'7" to balance it properly and now that it is balanced to get myself to the upright position all I have to do is raise my head, grab the handles and I come up with no difficulty. It is sturdy and well built and I'm sure to enjoy it for a very long time. I would highly recommend anyone getting into inversion therapy to google "inversion therapy" and you will find much literature on the subject. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it does a lot more than I thought.
