I was recommended an inversion table by my chiropractor. Was a bit nervous about it at first, thinking I would break my neck, but soon learned to trust it and let it do it's thing. Like most people in our culture, I have the usual stresses on my back-- bucket seats in the car, sitting at a desk most of the day, heavy lifting. This helped to get my spine back to where it should be and had actually saved me money, since I am not going to the chiropractor every other week, instead of every week.
Like I said, I was a bit nervous about getting on this for the first time. Quality was good though, so I eased into it, going back just a little at a time, until I had worked up to handing totally upside down. A couple of years later, this machine is still going strong and hasn't caused me one problem at all.
If you are having ANY lower back issues, you owe it to yourself to give this thing a try. It is amazing!

I would recommend this table to just about anyone. (probably not for an elderly woman, or very weak person - they might want to look into a powered one)
I did a lot of research before buying, and decided that something like this would be ideal for me. It's a relatively small investment - with the right pay-off. Easy to assemble... It was nice that it was delivered right to the door, because the similar store items would not have been, plus those were more $$.
Being a mechanical engineer- the ease of assembly probably isn't a fair thing for me to rate, however, I was very impressed with the integrity of the structure. This is stronger and more stable than I was expecting. It's easy to adjust - even for my girlfriend. She giggles every time she uses it, and it has already seriously helped her back and posture problems - or at least seems to have so far - we've only had for a few weeks.

Having just put mine together, I must first commend Amazon for the super fast delivery I got on this, several days ahead of the planned date.
The assembly wasn't all that hard but then I'm rather patient when it comes to these things....even enjoy the process of doing this since I feel I've "accomplished" something worthwhile and I've become more mechanically adept the older I get. It certainly does feel comfortable and one can vary the amount of inversion to three possible settings. Easily on a par with more expensive models and it doesn't bother me that it doesn't lock in place like an elite model I saw at the "Relax the Back" store.
As an update I'd add that while it improves low back pain(as in my case)it doesn't cure it.....the pain and stiffness tends to return the next morning soon after I get up, but once I get "inverted" this makes a major improvement.

Took approx. 20-30 minutes to assemble and test out. Definitely worth the money. Very well constructed, easy to assemble, easy to use, and adjustments are quick/simple to change. Very satisfied upon first use. I felt relief after a few minutes of stretching out, I have never used an inversion table but my doctor recommended and I'm happy I chose this model. My biggest praise is the construction, that was my only concern being so inexpensive, but to my surprise it was better than I was expected.. Overall I'm very very happy. You will not find a better table in stores w/ price comparability. Believe me, I looked at all the sporting goods stores in my area, cheapest one I found was 179.99 and I wouldn't trust it to hold me(182lbs). My son (Nick) lives in a different state, has a bad back and some days he has a hard time just getting out of Bed! I ordered the Ironman 1000 Inversion Table through Amazon thinking if the Item is not what I was expecting it could be returned with not too much difficulty. Nick received the Ironman 1000 Inversion Table about a month ago and every time we talk (about 3 or 4 time a week) he tells me how much the Ironman 1000 Inversion Table has improved his life, how he isn't pain free but he can now sleep all night with out waking from back pain, sit through work until his scheduled break with out wiggling in his seat trying to shift the pressure from his back and is able to go back to the gym for his workouts to strengthen his back mussels. Thank you so much for my sons back relief, from a very satisfied Father!
