My wife and I are in our late 40's, both very active and follow a healthy lifestyle. Still, we were beginning to feel the stiffness and aches that sometimes accompany growing older. We decided to try this inversion table. Assembly was easy. I didn't even wait for my wife to help (like we planned.) When she came upstairs to lend her assistance, it was already put together.
We both use it twice a day for the length of time recommended in the booklet that came with it. What a difference!! My wife had been suffering from neck stiffness constantly. She says that inverting feels soooooo good, and that her neck feels much more flexible. I've been having lower back pain, and this seems to be helping me as well.
In their reviews, some people complain about the ankle cuffs. I don't seem to have any problem. I use the table both barefoot and with socks and tennis shoes on. My wife has no complaints either. Of course, she's a petite person (5'00"/108 lbs.) and so her ankles are small. That may be a factor. For anyone who finds the cuffs uncomfortable, I would suggest playing around with how tight or loose you lock them around your ankles.
This has definitely been a positive purchase and a great addition to our healthy lifestyle.

This inversion table got five stars just on its own merit - it is sturdy, looks nice, fully inverts, and is surprisingly comfortable around the ankles (way more than I would expect, although I don't invert for long periods of time). If I HAD given it four stars, it would have simply been because my husband (who I bought this for) lost patience with the instructions, and I could see why. Some things you really have to "figure out" just because they are written WAY MORE complicated than they could be. (instead of just, connect the strap, you will have three confusing sentences saying about the same thing.) And one picture had us confused; it didn't look as though a piece went into a slot, but it did... BUT I am still standing by my 5 stars because once we got through the assembly portion (took about an hour), it has been smooth sailing and a wonderful purchase, and especially for the price! I hope the company will hire a technical writer to improve on those instructions just to make the process quicker and less painful. So not to scare anyone away from this, but just be prepared that you may scratch your head a few times trying to put her together!!! I ordered the 1000 on the advice of a friend who had gotten one. I was in a snowmobile accident and have had problems with my back for 37 years. Upon recieving it yesterday, it only took about 1 hour to put together. Mostly due to reading the instructions. I was impressed by the way the small parts were sealed onto a piece of cardboard neatly so they did not get lost. ALL parts and things were included. I needed NOTHING of my own! The first time I did it was freaky as I went over a bit unexpectedly. But after I adjusted it, it worked perfectly. I loved it!! The key to this is to get it set to the right height. I found that it needs to be set about 3 inches taller then what I am. Same true for my husband. We each spent 5 minutes on it about 3/4 over. Just enough to feel the *pull*. When I got off my back felt a bit better for sure. I can't wait to see how it is in about a week or two. For $118.00 what have you got to lose? I was considering spinal decompression at the Dr. but now this may be a much better fix..in my own home no less. I say go for it. You can always send it back....but I don't think you will. I am a 44 year old male with scoliosis and my lower back had been causing me so much pain that I couldn't complete simple tasks in my daily life. Walking the dogs caused me tremendous pain. I went to a Chiropractor to inquire about decompression therapy. He told me that the treatment would take my pain level from a 7 to around a 2 or 3. I would have been willing to give it a try but the cost for the treatment was $4200.00 after my insurance paid their portion. I just couldn't afford that at the time and decided to give this a try. I read every review about this machine and several others and decided that this was the one I'd go with. I have used it for a few weeks and I have already experienced a great deal of relief. I use the table at different levels of incline to target different areas of my back and it seems to be working. I do crunches while I'm inclined to strengthen my back muscles which may also be helping. I still have some pain and soreness but nothing like I was experiencing before I started using the table. The Ironman Gravity 1000 Inversion Table was exactly what I was looking for! Originally, I selected an inversion table from a local sporting goods store with terrible results. The inversion table was more expensive than the Ironman 1000 and more heavy duty construction. However, it was more than twice as complicated to put together and the quality control was terrible. I had to send for additional parts which the company charge a fee and the additional parts did not fit. I finally returned it to the local sporting goods store for a full refund, and started the search over. My wife found the Ironman 1000 online and after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. It was significantly easier to put together and I have been using it daily for the past month with dramatic results. I remain very active, golf, tennis, rollerblading, etc. and spend an hour a day working out. Yet, I still had back problems. With the addition of the Gravity 1000, I have been 100% better with my back problems. I couldn't be more pleased with my results. Thank you Ironman.
