Its the ultimate body sculpting and strength building tool that helps shape the upper body and tones your midsection. The durable steel construction holds up to 300 lbs. It is designed to fit residential doorways 24" to 32" wide with doorway trim or molding up to 3 ½ inches wide.

Once you're done with your back workout, you can quickly move the Iron Gym to the floor, where you can perform pushups while facing down, tricep dips while facing the other way, or sit-ups using the Iron Gym for foot stability.

The Iron Gym--whose durable steel frame installs quickly without tools or fasteners--holds up to 300 pounds and is designed to fit residential doorways 24 to 32 inches wide, with doorway trim or molding up to 3.5 inches wide.

Customer Review: Does what it's suppose to do
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Assembly was easy, it feels sturdy and not cheap.

It's honestly all about your door frame. If it's too thick or thin, it won't work. So before buying this measure your door frame and the width of your door. If you have a closet that has a sizable door width, you can even use this in your closet, making sure it has the recommended door frame too.

But if you have a 200 year old house door frame or something, then it won't work.

It didn't seem to damage my door frame though, I think it's because it's well balanced, the weight distribution. Though, I'm really light...

I'm a 5'0 96lb girl using this Iron Gym. I couldn't do anything at first, because I never worked out. But I plan to get some muscle or some size with this, and this thing is really fun. I like to hang on it lol.

Conclusion : Get it if you don't want people staring at you at the gym when you want a good upper body workout, and have the right door frame and door width.

Customer Review: Good product
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

This is very simple: it's a good product. Assembly is easy and the bar can support my weight (160lb). Ok, so maybe that's not saying much, but I think most owners slowly begin to hang on the bar for their first time using it just as a precaution. It's stable and works well. The two bars extending out are a nice touch, they add some variety to the pull ups I can do. However, the best charateristic of this product is that no drilling or screws are required and that I can easily remove the item from my doorway whenever I wish. One down side is that unless your door frame is a dark color, it will be smudged by the foam on the ends of the bars. I don't think this is such a big deal. I could easily paint over it or maybe even scrub it off when the time calls for it. Definitely worth the money.

Oh yeah, and this SimpleFitness1st guy is a tool. Why would you speak about a product other than the Iron Gym in a review? I think someone has something to gain by doing so... Hm!

Customer Review: Works Great!! A+
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

this is a great product that works great, I am really impressed with the design and how easy it is to use. There is a good variety of positions for different types of chinups and pull ups. And the ability to use it for situps and dips is amazing. I have only used it for a couple days but am loving it so far.

All the users giving bad reviews on this because of an issue with their wall thickness should give their heads a shake. My house was built with 2x3s for the framing so the bar did not fit. But a saw some wood and 2 bolts and I was able to modify the bar to fit my door frame. Problem fixed and I am now thoroughly enjoying the product. Fyi this took me all of 5 minutes to accomplish. It would have been nice if it was adjustable on its own but its not so you have to think outside the box. Unless you didnt really want to use it in the first place. I am looking forward to using this product for a long time.

Customer Review: Great piece of equipment!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I was hesitant to buy this item online because I was worried that it would not fit my door frames in my Canadian-manufactured house. Then I came across a website that explained that you should measure the wall width without the width the frame adds and the door space width without the frame as well. I have two sizes of door frames in my house and this product works with both of them. I have roughly 4" thick walls. One door is 28" wide and the other is 30.5" wide.

The product itself was very easy for me to assemble. Someone mentioned that the materials were cheap, but all put together, they feel very solid. To date, it has not marked or otherwise damaged my door frame at all.

Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. The grips are very comfortable; I have used it dozens of times already and I only bought it a month or so ago. My 250 lb husband has not used it yet, but I will update here when he does.

Customer Review: Does what it claims
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Assembly was a breeze and took about 10 minutes. The piece that mounts to the back of the door jam is plastic so I was a little weary of whether it would hold up well or not. I did a couple slow pullups using the various positions to make sure it wouldn't fall apart on me and then did some reps and it feels pretty solid. I'm 180 lbs and it held fine, and supposedly can hold up to 300 lbs. It has grips and handles for the different various of pullups and chinups, which is what drew me to it over the other types I looked at. It can also be used for pushups, dips (although not very effective as you can't get very low), and situps using the doorway.

Overall, it does was it claims and feels like a pretty good piece of equipment. After a week of regular use it remains solid and hasn't done any damage to the door or wall. I would recommend this product for those who don't want to, or can't, mount a bar.
