Iron Gym is the multi function training bar that combines every exercise you need to build a powerful upper body. Its the ultimate body sculpting and strength building tool that helps shape the upper body and tones your midsection. The durable steel construction holds up to 300 lbs. It is designed to fit residential doorways 24" to 32" wide with doorway trim or molding up to 3 ½ inches wide.
Strengthen your back, biceps, and other upper body muscles in the comfort of your living room or dorm with the Iron Gym workout bar. Designed to fit conveniently in most doorway frames or sit on the floor for pushups, dips, and sit-ups, the Iron Gym is an ideal choice for people who want to get fit without buying expensive, space-intensive weight sets. When installed in the doorway, the device lets you perform pull-ups and chin-ups, with three grip positions--narrow, neutral, and wide--for working the inner and outer back. Once you're done with your back workout, you can quickly move the Iron Gym to the floor, where you can perform pushups while facing down, tricep dips while facing the other way, or sit-ups using the Iron Gym for foot stability.

The Iron Gym--whose durable steel frame installs quickly without tools or fasteners--holds up to 300 pounds and is designed to fit residential doorways 24 to 32 inches wide, with doorway trim or molding up to 3.5 inches wide.

Sports reviews of Iron Gym Total Upper Body Workout Bar

Customer Review: Inexpensive, Easy to Use - Great Piece of Equipment!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I'm a college student, so by default I'm on a tight budget and in tight space. The Iron Gym Workout Bar is the perfect piece of equipment for those who do not want to spend too much money to workout the upper body. Plus, it's small in size compared to other workout machines.

I have a door, which is in a corner and I haven't had really any issues. I can perform pull-ups like normal, however, performing abdominal workouts where you lift your legs and rotate in a circle clockwise and counterclockwise, I find it impossible to extend my legs on own side of the rotation due to a wall in the way.

It's not a problem at all, I workout my abs with just leg lifts, I just want to make it clear that if you have a door in the corner of a room, note the wall to your left of right when performing ab workouts.

I rate the Iron Gym Workout Bar a 100% 5 Star Rating because I have not had any issues and get a very nice workout with it. It comes of extremely easy because all it does is rest on the edge of the door frame. I am cautious before I do my first pull up to make sure thee bar is completely on the door just to be safe.

Customer Review: Takes abuse
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

As a Marine Officer Candidate, we are expected to keep fit. I bought an Iron Gym 3 years ago to help me boost my numbers on my PFT. I'm a 200 pound guy doing 3-5 sets of pull-ups most nights a week, so it takes a beating. Whether you are doing slow, controlled pull-ups to really build muscle, or doing rapid, kipping pull-ups to build up reps or conditioning, this pull-up bar can handle it! Like I say, it's been 3 years of abuse and is just now starting to show signs of wearing out (i.e. foam is shredded and screws are loosening up - probably stripped them).

I was not too impressed with its function as a sit-up bar, but it does keep you from scooting across the floor! It works great as push-up bars allowing for deeper push-ups to increase range of motion and can supplement your pull-up work.

If you are weak and don't think you can do pull-ups, get it anyway. Use a chair to rest one leg, or both legs on it until you can build up reps. When I go for endurance reps, I find myself still benefiting from using a chair to bust through a plateau.

great gym i was unsure as to whether it would fit or not i took a chance and ordered it

it comes with a nice instruction manual with some tips on nutrition and working out
if your new to working it it is for you if your experienced it is for you

any fitness level can use this and i love this

ok heres the deal if it doesnt fit or clamp on your door dont get upset get a piece of damn wood and make it fit the only problem is door witdth some doors might have to be completely open to get the handles to fit and some might be completely open and it wont fit

buy it

Customer Review: An excellent product
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I always wanted a home pull up bar for the longest time. But I didn't like that the fact that you had to screw them into the door frame. But when I heard about this product, I had to try it out.

I purchased this at Linen and Things. You do have to assemble everything together, but the instructions are very basic and easy to follow and it comes with the necessary tools needed. It personally took me ten minutes and I was up and running.

So far everything is great. The bar fits nice and sturdy on the door frame and hasn't shown any signs of damaging my door frame. I can do my pull ups/chin ups with confidence.

It is also advertised that you can use this product to do ab crunches and dips. Personally, I probably won't use the Iron Gym for these exercises since I already own a dip station and a situp board but it's nice to know you can do these exercises with this product...especially if you live in an apartment.

So in a nutshell, this the Iron Gym is a great purchase and I highly recommend it to anybody who is looking for a pull up bar.

Customer Review: Awesome product, why didn't I think of this?
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

Most "As Seen on TV" products should only be allowed to exist in a landfill. The Iron Gym is an exception. This product is a convenient piece of equipment to do many different exercises with. It is a great substitute for permanent doorway pull-up bars.

With this being said, there are a few things worth noting. The Iron Gym WILL mark up your wall and/or door trims. I have used it at three different residences, and it left marks every time. If you are over six feet tall like I am, you will have to almost pull your knees to your chest to do a full pull up. The product really isn't to blame, but it can be annoying. You can't do dips effectively with the Iron Gym even though they advertise this feature. The foam grips tend to rotate and slide off quite easily. Also, I am not sure if it was a misprint or not but my box clearly stated that ab straps were inside. When I opened the box I found a mail in order form to buy ab straps; buzz kill.

I am still going to give this great product 5 stars. I implore you to find a more versatile piece of equipment for $20.
