Sports reviews of InStep Quick N EZ Bicycle Trailer (Orange/Gray)

Customer Review: Great Trailer for a Great Price
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

We purchased our InStep Quick N EZ Bicyle Trailer (orange) for two reason: to get our 19 month old daughter out bicyling and also as a cargo trailer for weekend bike tours.

Assembly was quick and easy. It basically comes in the form you break it back down to in order to travel: probably no more than 5 inches thick. The wheels snap easily into place and the upper roll bar pulls up and snaps into place. You snap the top on and velcro the bottom edges down. That was quick and easy. The hitch folds under the body for travel and swings out for use. The most challenging part of the set up is the bike connector. I use a road bike so I had to take out my rear skewer, add the connector and reassemble. That being done the trailer connects to bike fitting with a cotter pin and that's it.

3 of my boys joined me with our daughter for a 10 mile bike trail ride at a local college. We squeezed 5 bikes and the trailer into our Suburban with the rear seat down. We had bought a toddler bike helmet, that Erin did not take to very well. I strapped her in the trailer in the middle position. She looked a little concerned so I made some faces at her until she smiled. We put on the helmet, but it pushed forward over her face when she leaned back because it hit the seat back so we just took it off.

I was concerned about pulling a trailer behind my road bike, but it is a good clean connection and pull. We had a very fun ride together our first time out. Erin fell asleep for part of it of course. We got a lot of smiles as we rode by.

I have a tour planned for sometime in July with one of my boys. We'll pack it with a tent and supplies for three days riding and two nights camping. We're looking forward to that.

I highly recommend this trailer. It's a nice looking trailer, it sets up and breaks down very easily, it is very affordable and has mutiple uses. If you are not in the market for a $400 plus bike trailer this will be a good fit for you.

Customer Review: Completely Happy
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I am completely happy with this product. I'm not one for assembling stuff I purchase. This was very easy to assemble. My kids love the trailer. I was concerned about how it hooked up with my bike. I don't know why they didn't have a photo of how it hooked up to the bike on the ads. The connection to the bike was easy to instal and is a very clever design that is strong and easy to connect/disconnect. It also has a stiff spring near the connection that provides a little give between the bike and trailer that makes the ride more comfortable. I highly recommend the InStep Quick N EZ Bicycle Trailer. I haven't used it as a stroller so don't have any comments on that function.

Customer Review: Love it
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

We bought this for our 2 year old and 5 year old to sit in. It's a bit tight for the 5 year old, to be honest, but they love it in there.

It takes a few minutes to get used to putting it together, but we practiced 3 times and now we are pros.
It is easy to pull. With the 5 year old in there, I can definitely feel a bit of extra stain pulling it, but honestly, it's easy.

The only thing I wish could be different, is if you could somehow attach the stroller wheel underneath rather than have it sticking out a foot in front of the stroller. It's a bit of an obstacle in busy places. It would be easy to trip someone with that part jutting out in front.

Customer Review: It works perfectly fine!!
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

It is a nice trailer for todlers. I have a 2 yr old and she likes and enjoy her ride. We do it for fun not to go to places like market, school or other because if she feels uncomfortable I have to be able to go back home without frustrating her. For what you pay you get a very simple and practical trailer, ez to fold and get in the trunk or to storage. I put a little pilllow inside and cheerios!!! I don't see how can two kids fit comfortable inside, but one does pretty well. We like it! I won't recomend it for extreme weather but who wants to ride in those cases with a toddler in the back?? Be careful and ride it by your self a few hours so you get use to the wide and weight!!

Customer Review: Smooth
Sport shop rating: 5 Stars

I have to say, this has got to be the best $120 I've ever spent. The trailer was here in a couple of days, was a breeze to assemble and the kids love it. There's plenty of room for the two 2&1/2 year olds. The storage compartment is a lot roomier than I thought it would be. There's room for the diaper bag as well as my backpack with room to spare. Converting it to a stroller couldn't be simpler. It actually pushes easier than our double stroller. Which has rubber air tires as well. If you buy any other bike trailer you're only fooling yourself. If there were six stars, I would give it six.
