Steripens are great, but don't waste your money on the "solar recharger." Yes it works to recharge batteries for the Steripen, but it takes forever, many days of full sunlight to recharge 2 CR-123 batteries. You can also use it with AC, but a standard AC charger is much less expensive. Using the solar recharger would be very impractical unless you are in a cabin off the grid with many hours of sunlight. For backpacking or traveling just take an extra set of batteries.

The Hydro Photon SteriPen Solar charger can charge two CR123 rechargeable batteries at a time (included) while protecting your Steripen Adventurer. The case's interior is molded of soft foam for safe travel, with a compartment for storing extra batteries. Also included is a neoprene carrying case with daisy chain attachment for attaching the Solar charger to your backpack, tent or any other sunny place. The Solar charger also comes with two CR123 LI-ION rechargeable batteries for all your adventure needs. The Solar charger also includes an AC adapter for traditional outlet charging.
