If you like it in the picture, you'll like it in person, but this is a rug that will not particularly exceed your expectations.
Speaking as someone who practices Yoga regularly, if you are considering using this as a prop in your practice, you may be better off with the more widely accepted 'mexican blanket' (which are softer to the touch) or foam block (which are easier to position properly) solution. If you are considering using it as your mat, keep in mind it slides pretty easily on a smooth surface, and stretches as you would expect a cotton throw rug to.
Personally, if you really like this rug, I would suggest hanging it on a wall, or getting a skid-proof carpet pad and using it to line a hallway.
